Well ordered Loki a lifetime ago and it looks like things MIGHT be happening! :yess: So stopped lurking and decided to join the forum.

Have a feeling this may be the start of an expensive hobby to add to the comics habit.

I started this hobby in November of 2011 with a single War Machine purchase thinking "I'll just buy an Iron Man to go with it"

Now, 16 months later, I own 23 of these things from Avengers/Iron Man/Batman/Terminator lines.

You will never escape its clutches. But welcome aboard! :D

Good god it gets its claws in you doesn't it?

Think I picked up my first 1:6 around the time my kids were born (Jan 2006)

Got around 400 figures now........ :horror

400:hi5: Thats what I call a collection.

I only started myself with Bespin Luke. Just got 2.0 Joker and have MarkVII, BD T800 and 1/4 Dark Knight all pre-ordered.

Also just used sideshow code SPRING2013 for $25.00 off and pre-ordered Loki now:slap - Think i've caught the bug. Terminator 1/4 Endoskeleton next.

Displaying stuff is the problem. I can only comfortably have about 100 figures displayed at any one time so most stuff is boxed in the loft. However it's nice when your sorting through boxes and find figures or even whole series of figures you forgot you own.

Found all my Battle star Galactica Cylons awhile back. Happy days!

Thanks for the welcome guys…yes it’s inevitable I won’t stop at one. :family At the moment all I’ll have to keep Loki company is an Action Man left over from a childhood toy collection. And a Dalek alarm clock. Not exactly Loki’s Army, but a couple of useful minions anyway.

Welcome! I've been collecting Hot Toys for about 7 months now and I'm up to 15 so far. It's quite scary how much money you spend in a short period, it's very addictive! But as long as you buy pieces you like it's well worth it. Loki looks amazing, seriously can't wait for him to arrive!

I don't see any shadows below/behind the Loki, Mark VII and Wolverine figures..and even the Mark 42 bust. Are we looking at the same picture by any chance? :dunno :cuckoo:

Oh and just in case you haven't noticed, HT has reused pictures before - the shot of the 1/6 Iron Patriot's back was the same one used to promote the IP bust.

No big deal any way, just happy they're finally out...can't wait for in-hand photos!

Just for the record, this pic isn't photoshopped. :lol
No promo pic of any character matched with what's here 100%.

Had a little look over on Facebook at the upcoming releases just to see the box for Loki, and now I'm thinking... I want to display these character portraits from the boxes

I think they look really nice and very uniformal, I was toying with the idea of getting good quality copies of them, maybe have them on the wall

that may be pushing it, but they just look so nice!

Yup, it bites very quickly...and deep too! (looks at empty wallet and almost zero bank account)

:exactly: I have been at this 14 months and have 24 figures and 8 more due by the end of the year:slap

So, Loki's box is green...
What color will Hulk's box be??? Obviously green would be the answer...
but can they have two green boxes? Would look out of place.
