Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS244 - Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man Figure [Specs + Pic]

My wallet is weeping this year.
I do hope they do a Parker two pack as well although I can't see it myself. I can see them doing a stand alone PP though šŸ˜Š

After watching the movie, I am now more inclined to have this on pre-order, and just hope that HT makes some improvements on the material of the suit.

Re: Article: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS244 - Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man Figure

hot toys is so stupid i swear,

When did Spidey become a member of The Village People?

Re: Article: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS244 - Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man Figure

I could live with just Spidey, some webs, and some hands -- as long as the price would be $160 or 170 maybe. I need none of those accessories that Spidey had for less than 10 seconds and be charged $60 more.

If they added that at least people would be able to use those accessories in a display

but wtf are people meant to do with a scarf and a little blue hat?

Heubert... you've been in the hobby long enough, I think, to know you'd be charged $60 more with or without the "accessories". I can't believe the focus on these stupid add-ons. A custom artist could include this crap for $20.00, let alone HT. I don't think it's adding a thing to the price.

It suits Spidey. Sorry you don't see it. If you don't like it, crows, just sell them on the aftermarket. If you're a comics fan of Spidey, I think the toque, vest, scarf and backpack work just fine (I won't be seeing the movie until I can VOD it). I love the accessories, personally.

I don't think the price hike is due to the clothing. I honestly think they were like hey we are including a dynamic stand and that is $30 on it's own so we will add $30 to the price. Makes the most sense out of anything

The extras on this one are one of the most redundant I've seen. I think I can say this even before seeing the film.

What suits Spidey is a suit that doesn't look horrible. :lecture

But hey, it comes with a 2 dollar snow cap that looks great!

Re: Article: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS244 - Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man Figure

I was hoping that this would be THE spidey in my collection but so far I don't see that happening....unless they get rid of that Man of Steel fabric. But what I did realize is that HT has changed their hands replacement on this guy where you don't need to pull them out of the peg to replace. I like that and hope they can incorporate that in future figs....less stress about braking pegs is always a good thing.

Ha, yep, all the complaining about the accessories really misses the point. If the suit was correct, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.

Agreed, it is a good innovation and looks pretty seamless with Spidey.
