Hot toys sets the product run size long before the figures are announced. The size of the product run directly effects the profit the manufacture makes. Especially on a new tooled figure. The allotment a place like sideshow gets us adjustable, and they can adjust it up to a certain point before shipping. However, the preorders sideshow and big bad toys and so forth get does not effect the quality of a figure. And sideshow also is the major supplier for a lot of secondary retailers so the preorder lets them choose how much to offer to the public as presale, to the retail places, and how many they hold for day of. Again my point has been, in contradiction to yours, that the amount of preorders does not effect the quality control or design of the figures, as you implied. So do you want to discuss the actual issue or continue being a keyboard warrior running your mouth to someone you have no clue about?
Lipsmack's arguement was that if the quality of the figure sucked, preorders will drop due to lack of interest which WOULD MAKE HT do some corrections.
If said preorders are really low compared to HT's predictions, HT will hopefully make an attempt to fix it. If they dont, they'll potentially lose money.
