I've wanted a Jackman wolverine since forever but have never been happy with the others, so when I saw the proto for this I was so excited they had finally nailed it!
I'm so glad they released this early because it was one of my most anticipated for 2015. Needless to say its in the air winging its way to merry old England as we speak, haven't been this excited about a figure for quite a while. Should be early next week.

I never actually understood the displeasure with the origins likeness or The Wolverine likeness. Jackman had sort of different looks in those films (longer hair smaller frame, shorter hair larger frame respectively) and I think people were looking for a traditional Wolverine head like in the trilogy. It just so happens that his look in dofp is very much like his look in the trilogy not to mention the likeness is indeed better, but the previous ones were still excellent. By the way the Last Stand likeness is one I'd the worst hot toys has ever done so I don't even count it lol.

Last stand wolverine was really bad! Shockingly so.
The last one, Japanese, black suit was decent but still a way off, this new one is as good as I could have hoped for. Love the suit & the HS :)
A worthy addition to any decent hot toys collection :)

Wish they'd make magneto bishop and quicksilver the DOFP (non avengers) version

Same.

I'm pretty sure hot toys not doing a large variety of xmen characters has to do with marvel. They allow wolverine but that's as far as they'll go considering the xmen franchise is at Fox currently. Recent examples of this include marvel restricting almost all general dofp merchandise. Remember seeing those school folders with dofp wolverine and quicksilver on them? Me neither lol

:exactly:

A lot of the lack of X-Men product falls on Disney/Marvel. They have admitted that they are sticking the srcrews to FOX in whatever way they can. Hot Toys cannot make the other characters, because Disney is interfering. FOX even said as much. They called out Marvel for not allowing them to make toys based on the films. So that's where blame needs to be placed.

:goodpost:

Can't believe anyone's still hoping for FOX-Men figures. :lol Hope truly does spring eternal!

It's the longest running Marvel movie franchise. Fans want Merch

I totally disagree . He's one of my favorite hot toys in my collection . The fact that he doesn't have that stupid lifeless face makes him that much more fun to pose . #1 for me .

The moment I see him even at a slight bargain, I'm getting him. I guess I can just live off of ramen noodles and biscuits for a month or two. *cries*

That's your opinion. Personally, I liked The Last Stand figure over The Wolverine.

Nice, very nice. Its very good to see they finally nailed the likeness. after what 4 figures lol. Maybe newer technologies like 3d printing is helping them out, which really only makes sense to do

I don't see how people can think he has a lifeless expression. Alfred has a lifeless expression, this sculpt looks more like a focused expression.

Those pics look amazing, this came out better than I could have imagined.

When the expression is neutral people complain. When there's an action expression, people complain.

The sculpt looks great to me, I can't wait til it's parted out. Really hoping someone gets it from HK so they can stick it on The Wolverine body... I wanna see how it looks.

I'm still hoping the black armor comes off to reveal an interesting yellow/blue designed shirt. You couldn't really see it in the movie, but I really like the 2 different shades of yellow.

Yea, they showed the whole thing in the empire magazine reveal I believe. It was pretty much the same color as his iconic suit.

I think we'll definitely be getting costumes in Apocalypse, I'm just a little worried with Singer back as director he's never been great at translating the costumes from the comics to the movies.

Man, this is one sharp looking figure. Really is a shame we won't have the chance to have at least a couple more team members to represent the X-Men. Like always, it's just the Wolverine Show.

I want a Wolverine in my collection but this doesn't seem like the one to have either. Yet again Hot Toys picks the wrong look to replicate so my only option is a custom. If I remember, this suit/armor was never in a fight scene and that is shame. Ninety percent of the movie had Wolverine in a 70's outfit and this was only worn as his consciousness traveled back in time.

Don't get me wrong it looks incredible but as far as importance goes it just isn't there. It seems impossible for them to use this design again because of the time travel.
