Yup, I remember the interview saying they planned on waiting for DOFP and he would come with more accessories than what would have come with FC Xavier.

Can't wait to get this guy in hand... then I'll be one figure away from my "New Fantastic Four" display.

Yes.

It won't hurt you to wait and see. This Wolverine is bound to be available at a good deals if you wait it out a bit. At the rate Hot Toys is going with all these releases, it's bound to be buried when it comes to interest. I could definitely see this being available for $180-$200 new. If not from Sideshow, then on the secondary market. Just be patient.

yah the more I think about it the more I want to wait this one out. I like it but its a steep tag for what you get.

I agree with your sentiment, but. . .Funko.

Licenses | Funko

And neca and hasbro and couple others. Sideshow and Bowen for example.

No one else even tried or carried about 1/6 for 40 years outside of mego. Hot toys has revolutionized the toy market. It's to bad they do not have retail spaces in more places. And that Toyfair the magazine and Wizard the magazine no longer are around to spread the word. If the market grew, and other companies started seeing profits in the smaller companies like hot toys then there would be a move toward that market. 1/6 and even 1/4 has gotten more popular then anyone could have imagined ten years ago, outside of Howard Chan and his company. He bet his own money it would catch on. Smart move.

If not for the large market share and continues push to get better (they could have stayed with older style cheaper stuff like their early produced pieces) the market would never have grown. Everyone bashes these companies, says they price gouge, says they suck, are evil...ect. Its sad. For me anyway. Yes they have short comings, but they grow and strive for better and actually get there at times faster and more often then any toy companies I know. No they are not perfect. And if you don't understand just how complicated the process is, from manufacturing to license management then I can see some gripes...but come on.

Do you guys ever think the price will ever reach a plateau? Or will it keep rising?
That depends greatly upon the global economy itself. Exchange rates and even import/export considerations will always play a role. However, I would say that the price increases we've seen lately have to do with the historically low weakness of the American dollar and the hike in oil prices from the Early new millennium which is seemingly stabilizing in the past half year. In short it's possible this figure represents a pricing plateau of sorts for a few years but outside factors, even licensing, make it impossible to truly tell.
