1/6 Hot Toys - MMS273 - Iron Man 2: tony Stark w/ Arc Reactor Creation Access...

I've been on the lookout for rose hill for 300 but no one on eBay ever took that offer. Told myself I would pay no more than 3. Pass a Rose Hill Road on my daily commute that was yelling at me every day. Guess I'll give that up and get this Tony instead!

Maybe they expect the most die hard Iron Man collectors that'll get this to already have the table.

And they'd be right, since I have two from the prehensile test and workshop accessory pack.

Wish they'd included another for the price, for those without a table though.

I want to order this, even if my brain is starting to fight it. The tailoring on the polo is not great. HT and other mass produced figures always seem to have trouble with shirt collars.

Can I have one of your tables![emoji12]. Seriously how much do you think I could get one for?

We should start a "Friends of Tony" thread. AKA these are the Tony's I know...

I'll get right on it...

soonish.

Ah **** I ordered. I like the Tony Stark Figures.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS273 - Iron Man 2: tony Stark w/ Arc Reactor Creation Accessorie

I vote that the Sideshow Freaks forums have a dedicated Marvel all things Hot Toys Iron Man sub-forum. This Iron Man stuff is really cluttering things up for other topics.

You weak willed fool :wink1:

You get to be the defacto President of the "Friends of Tony" Association.

I'm ready for that. :lol

I was actually surprised by the price. I expected no less than $225

Other topics like what a Cap figure and a bunch of x-men crap threads about figures that will never be made?:lol

Could this pricing reflect a test at a lower cost due in part to Mechanic not selling well? I paid full retail for the EX and I love that figure.

Am I the only one not seeing RDJ in those eyes? I think the likeness is stronger in The Mechanic version.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS273 - Iron Man 2: tony Stark w/ Arc Reactor Creation Accessorie

Not a bad price at all. Almost tempted by it but I don't have any other Iron Man 2 figures to go with it.

There are issues with the breadth of the face, chin taper, width of the mouth, width of the nostrils, openness of the eyes, shape of the eyebags and most importantly the tracking of character lines each side of the mouth...

Hot Toys workmanship is amazing...but I wouldn't say this has nailed Tony Stark's likeness. I'm happy with the Armor Test head compared to this.

Only a matter of time before diecast suits from 2 are announced.

I agree that most of your points are correct. But I like this one over the mechanic. To me where the biggest issue with this head is the area right under the eyebrows, it shouldn't be so inset. And the upper check bone area is also to inset. (Plus the nose is a bit off). That triangle from the eyebrows as the top down to the nose as the point of the triangle are so often missed. And make a huge impact on likeness.
