Also, the designers for the movie would have been employed to work on the movie (probably multiple movies) so their work is automatically owned by Marvel/Disney anyway, even if it is not a chosen final design. I have a similar clause in my contract with the mouse.
Things like character designs would be controlled pretty closely to prevent leaks etc, but also they own all proto designs so can freely make 'making of' books etc.
I am sure the designers are not getting screwed over, and probably get commission/usage fee if their design is the final one, but they won't own it as an IP.

Would you also care explain why artists are allowed to use Marvel characters for profits during cons? For example, you get to pay Humbertos Ramos for an illustration of Spider-man etc. So sorry for getting this oot. Really really curious.

I just got this. It's a pretty good looking figure indeed. I knew it was going to be heavy but it turned out to be even heavier than expected. I'm glad I bought this. Now I wish I got the AOU Cap.

Unfortunately I don't know how that's allowed, I would just be guessing. I'm not one to pretend to have inside information when I don't, sorry!

Just watched the deleted scenes for Age of Ultron and a few of them helped flesh out some things for me in the movie ... Tony tells Rhodey that he is going to overnight him a new decryption drive for his suit in case Ultron tries to get in, for example.

Did it ever show Ultron infiltrating the Mk XLIII suit? I heard that's what supposedly ended up happening to it.

Unfortunately no...not sure at what point in the movie they planned that to happen since Tony was using at least parts of MK 43 up until Vision's birth ... would've been cool to see though.

Would have been cool to see indeed. Although that's a good point you make though regarding not being sure at what point in the movie they planned for that to happen. I presumed that happening to the Mk XLIII is what compelled Tony to give Rhodey the decryption drive to prevent Ultron from possibly getting into his WM armor also.

Agreed... I would've enjoyed it had the Mk 43 takeover happened during Ultron Mk 1's first appearance ... but then Tony might've had to unveil the Mk 45 much sooner than the final battle assuming Ultron made off with 43 or the team destroyed it.

Agreed also. That means the XLV would have been unveiled during the scene when they went to attempt to apprehend Ultron on the boat that Klaw was on in South Africa. Much sooner than the final battle in Sokovia, as you mentioned.

Just seen on the tracking website that my Mk43 is arrived! Can't wait to turn back home and open my first armor!

No, special editions are not so easy to find in Italy, anyway I'm not interested to the damaged head. I have room just for one armor so it must be a non-damaged one!

I just got the standard edition too. If I had known about it, i would have bought the special edition cuz it was the same price. I bought a customized battle damaged head instead.

I missed the preorder, so actually I didn't have a choice, but it looks like this set has a good amount of accessories even without the extra helmet.

Here's the thing...i preordered on the first day it became available for preorder at sideshow collectibles. That's what frustrated me on it.

So given the weight of this, do you think some Blu Tack on its soles would be enough to keep it from toppling over? I want to display this with my MkVII, but my current case cannot have both stands. It's been years since I've handled Blu Tack so I can't remember how sturdy it can stick stuff on a table.

Thanks!
