Yeah going to have to be super selective now... not getting sucked into Thanos since we'll get newer versions later with the movies.

Ultron(s) is a definite for me since he won't be appearing elsewhere.

The way I rationalize this purchase is that it's essentially for 1.5 figures. What if this is the only chance people will have at getting the Mark I Ultron? Granted it's about half of the original, HT may not make a full Ultron Mark I with all the other drones and Ultron versions. I do like the armor and that it's diecast. It's not the greatest armor but I know that HT will limit some figures so I wanted to make sure I was on the script to get one. I'll just have to sell my Silver Centurion to make room and pay off this thing.

Plus, it actually comes out to like $315.50 for me as I get $17.25 RP as well as 5% back from the charge

Are you freaking kidding me? HT is getting stupid. They already made the money from the mold and all this is just a repaint. I have stopped buying their stuff cause their price is getting stupid and I have been a customer since 2007. Thanks HT for pricing out your long time customers.

What is the HK price? Often times it's also more reasonable... it seems like it's Sideshow that is setting these high prices over here.

I just realized that the Thor from this version will simply just be a repainting of the DW Thor...albeit a very very small repaint which are the discs on his tunic. Yeah we're all gonna have to be very selective. Just hope he comes SLEEVED. I'll only get a sleeved helmet of we find a helmet that fits him.

I must have missed this but if there is a Mark 45 then Hot Toys will definitely make it given they usually do almost every armor from a movie.
Yes. Of course. But you asked if it would be Non-Die cast. If the Mark 45 (if indeed a fact) is the same design as the 42 & 43, then I don't see why it wouldn't be die cast. That's what I meant.

We will find out how strong the avengers brand is with this figure. If it goes to waitlist quick HT is going to gouge the hell out of the line.
The base is really attractive with this offering and many people are not rationalizing it into the price. Essentially its $40 bucks for the Mark I Ultron and stand added on to the price.

It isn't that outrageous. We are just having initial sticker shock looking at it and the Mark xliii is die-cast. All those die-cast lovers can rejoice at the higher prices that is tacking on as well.:lol

Yes we dropped the additional BD parts from the Mark XLII, but its in the wash with the mark I.

Give it a day or two we will survive I promise.

Stop trying i justify it with the base. Its the most over inflated over priced figure to date. Free your mind of the fanboy brainwashing!

I guess it means I don't have to buy another Mark I Ultron if indeed they release it as a separate figure (in addition to the 43 base). To me, this base and extra Ultron piece is enough to save money from buying another Ultron.

People keep saying this justifies the price. I get that it's a completely new accessory. I just don't get (that) if the 43 does, in fact have most of the same tooling/molds as the 42 why this couldn't come in at $309. I think the price is reflective of this being the EXCLUSIVE more than what's include. I would hope that the regular comes with a lower price point...if a regular does come out. Do we know if this EX is the only Mark 43 that HT will be offering?
