So I finally got this guy today! He is quite the figure. Now going to have to search this thread for some cool poses. Quick question for you all though. His ankle joints seem a little loose. Even to the point that I'm a little afraid to pose him without the stand. Is this normal for the 43? I have the new Mk3, and that has never been an issue/concern. Thanks for the help in advance!

Congrats on the acquisition! He's a resplendent figure.

Regarding the ankle joints, I don't recall mine being too bad, but I didn't really play with them too much. I pretty much just immediately posed him on the base/stand in the pose that I wanted him in.

However, I know there was another member (maybe more) that was reporting the same thing awhile back in this thread, so it could be something that's pervasive.

Yes my 43 has loose ankles. It's a shame but I don't pose off the stand much. I'd never leave him on a crotch grabber stand though. Always with a black clamp to be safe.

Thanks Silver. I reluctantly sold my VII Stealth to get this guy, but I wanted to start an Avengers collection, and figured this was the place to start. I don't plan on playing around too much as I also like to pose, but I just noticed the ankles being significantly more loose than mt Mk3. Ill browse through this thread while looking for a good pose to see if more have has this same issue. Thanks again for the quick response!

No worries. :)

If wanting to start an Avengers collection, the Mk XLIII was indeed a good place to start!

And what exactly is the "crotch Grabber" pose?

Crotch grabber STAND :)

hmm, mine has extremely tight ankle joints

so tight that I can't even get the left one to pop out to increase the range of motion

I pose him without the stand but it scares me a little cause sometimes I can hear his joints creaking when I walk around my apartment

Beef, I saw somewhere that the foot is supposed to extended to allow further manipulation, so I thought mine might already be extended, but Ive tried pulling it out/pushing in, and there has been no give. hmmm. interested. With this issue, I doubt BBTS would be willing to exchange, right? Id truly like to pose without the stand, but I guess things could be worse.

So today I became the proud owner of the Mk 43. After lurking on this thread for months I can finally post!. Incidentally, he's my first and only Iron Man. I can't believe how awesome he is in hand. Even better than all pics. Speaking of pics... I'll be posting some once I get the kids to bed. One gripe though. Why is the head switch so difficult to get to? Really bothersome.

I couldn't agree more. They really got it right with the Mark III. I believe the Stealth had the design. Pull the faceplate off, flip the switch, and boom! My only issues with this guy are the weak ankles(must have played basketball), the switch, and difficulty putting the head batteries in. Those magnets are strong! Other than those small issues, I am elated to have this figure.

That's awesome, congrats on the get. :duff

The only halfway presentable pic I was able to take tonight... Crummy lighting, iPhone and being rushed. The perfect storm for a bad shot. Looking forward to spending some time figuring this figure out..
