Beef, I saw somewhere that the foot is supposed to extended to allow further manipulation, so I thought mine might already be extended, but Ive tried pulling it out/pushing in, and there has been no give. hmmm. interested. With this issue, I doubt BBTS would be willing to exchange, right? Id truly like to pose without the stand, but I guess things could be worse.

yeah, it says in the instructions they extend, the right one does just fine but the left one won't budge

I'm afraid to pull too hard out of the fear of breaking something

I thought about taking a blow dryer to the ankle to see if that pops it loose but I have mine posed how I want for now

I popped the hips out to check out how it worked and had an awful time getting them back into place... I thought for sure I was going to break something. I don't think I'll be doing that again.

How I feel as well. Being new to the Hot Toys world, I'm not sure how durable these guys are, and that would be an expensive mistake. Having him posed right now, I'm not too worried, but when when I go to repose, maybe I'll get a little more adventurous.

We're in the same boat. Mk43 is only my 4th Hot Toys figure and he seems the most delicate to me.

Outside of the flaps and those little parts the figures are pretty durable. There's a guy that does vid reviews of these and he man handles the heck out of them. If you read and follow the instructions you should have never little problems of things breaking. The 42/43 are two of the most durable figures. At least when it comes to iron man. You will get accustomed to them. These are really well designed and built(for the most part). And light years ahead of the older stuff.

No doubt. My apprehension is a comment more on my inexperience than on the quality of the figures..

tony, my 43 is rock steady at the ankles. mine is posed without any stand and is holding up fine. its a pose that is fairly dependent on the ankles being sturdy...arent they all i suppose? anyway, don't be afraid to ask for a replacement. BBTS is cool that way.

this is true, especially when compared to the early iron man figs

I broke my mk iv's shoulder pad thing off just moving the arm

luckily I was able to fix it because there were no replacements available for that one

Bought mine at BBTS as well. Price is high but, like AoU Cap, it's the best representation to date.
