Maybe this suit doesn't get Battle damaged, maybe the damage looks completely different or maybe HT wants you to buy a separate BD figure (most likely )

yeah they could post an update after they get more information about what happens in the movie, and they decide to include the appropriate extras..... but I wouldn't count on it

I doubt HT makes more than three IM figures from AoU. It's got the rest of the HPP armors to worry about, dammit!

They did surprise us with Groot and Rocket 2 pack. I hope they add some stuff to warrant the price. It is getting nearly impossible to justify anymore

I pre oredered this at $275 and when I pre oredered Mark 42 it was at $225. The increment of $50 doesn't justify (although I still pre ordered it =p). The reason being, HT should do massive cost reduction because they are using the same moulding as Mark 42. Also, the diorama base doesn't justify the $50 increase because Mark 42 came with a base also although not as nice as this one...still cost are involved ( you can argue that the base is similar to Iron Patriot). With a 1 year different and a 20% increase in price..it is a bit too much IMO. The only things that could explain is the license cost...

thats what I said as soon as I seen the price...... I could would have been happy paying the same price as the 42, but this is just to much more for less, its not justifiable no......


that being said... I did order it Day 1 but no I can't say it was a smart purchase

I skipped the MK 42 for this so no way Im not getting it but it doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. These prices may push me out of the hobby :/

Yeh even for a newer collector thats evident... I think AoU will be the main buy in for my Marvel/Avengers collection; future films will just add new characters and upgrades will be a case of sell the older one so no duplicates unless its really worth it (lets see if my 3 Iron Men going onto 4 sticks or if they continue to pull me down the rabbit hole).

I guess something this does offer the 42 owners is a HT made clean headsculpt (I know there are some 3rd party ones out there) which could be used to replicate earlier scenes before the attack (unless the shades used are too different).

One thing I would have liked is a Stark HS without the helmet but it would have inflated the price more and I like the ones with the helmets (although who doesn't like the option to have a cheaky Tony like the Mark VII).

Maybe the Mark 45 will have one, long as it is die cast as I read the standard sculpts dont fit unlike with the other suits?

I have gone down the rabbit hole with this as well. It is my first diecast and my first full price hot toys (although I did chip in some of my rewards points to justify the price).
