It's Thanos or Ultron for me. I can't afford both. Thinking ultron might be the better get since we'll probably see another thanos for infinity wars

There will be another thanos. I almost don't want to open this one cuz I'll probably sell it for infinity gauntlet version.

Not too sure about that. Alot of people were holding off ordering ultron with the hopes of a ult version. And nothing yet

They are probably waiting until Ultron Prime ships. That way they can sell more. That's what I would do if I were them!

I'm hoping for a custom one to be made. It would be cool if there were some new arms with sculpted gantlets made though, for easy swapping.

I just received this figure today and I have to say I am happy with it. I can get past the elbow joints, cuz at the end of the day it is just a toy albeit an expensive one. I do have an issue however, the light up function for his throne. What the hell were they thinking on this one. They are in the battery compartment and would need to be screwed of and on anytime you want to light it up. I find that 3 of the four compartment covers stay on well without the screw but the fourth falls off. In my opinion the switches there are just dumb. I will post pics at some point.

HT makes interesting - read, idiotic - design decisions sometimes. Like the light-up feature on its Iron Man figures, the time-out feature on its Terminators and the sound feature on its Darth Vader.

When that one gets announced you'll be selling this one for a loss, whether or not it's been opened (I doubt many $500 retail figures could maintain their value regardless), so may as well enjoy it on display in the meantime.

Not necessarily, I've sold off many HT figures that got an updated design released for profit. Iron Man MK3, Iron Man MK2, etc.

Don't think Thanos will be one of those. Everyone wants the Infinity Gauntlet and I expect the value on this will drop like a stone once that one goes up for PO.

You are probably right, but who knows?
I'll be happy to own both.

Then you're covered. :) Regardless, point of previous post was why spend $500 to keep something MISB when it's likely going to drop in value anyway. **** investment for no gain in enjoyment.

I've never understood the MISB thing anyway. Might as well buy the empty box for 5 bucks on Monkey Depot, it amounts to the same thing.

Yeah, but the box has been opened and there's not a brand-new figure inside of it. :lol

It's not for everyone but I enjoy collecting MISB. I plan to open just about every one of them anyway, some day when I have the space for a proper display.

I don't collect MISB exclusively, however I sometimes will buy an extra figure to leave MIB on a some of my favorite figures, not practical at todays prices and certainly not for selling down the road, just to keep.

If I had the moola, I'd but at least two of everything, one to open and one to keep in package. The desire to have something as pristine as the day it left the factory is a carryover from my MOC days of much cheaper McFarlane and NECA figures.

I wouldn't want an extra of every figure, most don't warrant it for me and the ones that do are usually very special to me. Like you its an old habit from my early days of collecting 12" G.I. Joe figures in the 90's, back then they were around 12-20 dollars a figure, very manageable, not so much these days:lol

Yeah, same. If space and money were no issue, having the MISB 'just in case' figure would be great (as mentioned, more appropriate for Hasbro/McFarlane/etc., than HT). :lol

Hope no-one misreads my comments here as they're not meant as a slam on anyone (aside from inspecting, I'm keeping my figures boxed-up for that perfect future display area, also). My two cents was strictly that if you have the space to display, like the figure but plan to sell down the road, then display now as IMO it can't maintain its $500 retail price on the secondary once the coveted Infinity Gauntlet version hits. Life's short, so enjoy the damn thing if you have the space for it and worry about re-sale later!
