The exposed joints is why I never bought a Predator figure. Could never figure out why HT never made one with rubber arms one . Hopefully by 2017 HT will use good judgement and give us a non visible joint Thanos. This Thanos is not worth my $$$.

And how's he supposed to bend 90 degrees with rubber legs that can't bend that far?

Bent rubber arms look terrible too.

People won't be happy until every figure comes with seamless arms, jointed arms, and a fixed torso like Hulk.

There's an easy remedy for not liking a figure... Beating a dead horse day after day isn't fixing anything.

I'll order this with my rewards next month, gonna order Thor sometime soon, then I guess that's it until Vision is released.

The horse isn't dead yet. It's still got a little life in it.

I agree. I wish Hulk had "ugly" Thanos elbows. If you bend Hulk's arms the rubber skin bunches up and looks worse to me than an "ugly" joint that works better.

I guess it's like the molded hair vs doll hair debate on HT female figures. Not everyone agrees.

You dodged the larger point. You stated that you thought the Thanos figure (with stand) is of equal quality to a $20.00 figure at TRU. That is using EXTREME hyperbole at best. Once again, if you truly believe this, you need your head examined.

I understand you hate the joints. They aren't a big problem for me (or most of us). Why don't you just stop posting here and complaining. We all understand the issue and your opinion.

I was staying out of this thread, but you still had to bring me back into it. I already addressed that point, I didn't dodge it as seen here posted over two days ago

Now to finally just settle it I say this to you sir, enjoy your toy, don't worry if others don't like it, as long as you like it that's all that matters:wink1:

I'm in the minority I guess. I like the rubber arms on most figures that don't have costume to cover them. Like Thor or Leonidas. Hulk it's ok. Not perfect but a figure that massive the joints would look pretty bad. But with Thanos rubber is really not an option. Not with the armor and the throne. To do it right with rubber and the armor it would cost three times what it does. Then you still wouldn't be able to bend the arms or legs more then 30-40 degrees for any extended time without stretching or weaking the rubber at the bends. And a seated pose is impossble if you want it to also be able to stand. It's just not possible with our current level of manufacturing. Until they make or use a material that is able to stretch like skin covered joints is a pipe dream.

I haven't had any problems with LA Thor, and I've had him since release. More of a personal preference that I'd rather have hard plastic.

Worldbox made a body with articulated and hard seamless arms that were interchangeable. If they can do it I'd like to see HT try it with the Ragnarok Thor. It'd be worth an increased cost to me.

I love when people want to be condescending here they start calling these "dolls" and "toys". It happens every single time.

That's what they are though.

Regardless of you liking the term or not.

And I love when people get all defensive when one calls them that. It's like all of a sudden your masculinity goes out of the window.

I used to collect dollies and I'm not ashamed of it.

I now collect Transformers toys and I'm not ashamed of it.

I like how some statues based on cartoons/movies and comics look and I don't necessarily call them "art pieces" and I'm not ashamed of it.

franpincho has balls of steel.

I too would like to see it. They can do it. But every single added piece adds cost. And the more interchangeable parts the higher the failure and return rates are. Aou deluxe hulk had three times as many requests for replacements then the two previous editions. So it's all a gamble for the manufactures of these products.

I'd like to see a rubber arm and armored arm swap on Thor. That would be great. It's somethin I brought up months ago. I'm just not sure how much it would improve sales. If it only adds 20% in sales, and then an increase of 5% on returns or replacements and an increase in cost of 10-20%..that isn't much worth it for the company.

really if you look it, even statues can be considered dolls in permanent positions on bases...I never really got the whole dolls and toys bashing...who cares. I have a friend at work that tries to crack on me for like comicbook movies and Star Wars...yet he spends $200-300 on RC cars. I have nothing against RC cars, just not my thing. Different people collect different things. I personally don't care what people say..its my money and my hobby.

Loving this whole exchange. 'Dolls' shouldn't be a loaded word; it's really the best term for a lot of the stuff we collect and it's nice to see y'all not shying away from it at all. Take a look at the custom TDK Joker thread and you'll see a bunch of grown-ups brushing a miniature Heath Ledger's hair, gelling it, playing around with it more than any kid in history has brushed a Barbie doll's hair... and the results are honestly spectacular.

Also...

Funniest thing I've seen all day :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl
