Congrats on receiving him!

I also noticed the knee pads are off. As shown in my picture above as well, you can see the knee pads don't line up evenly with where his knee should be; they're facing inward. I have tried adjusting the pants inside of his boots, but they keep returning to this position unfortunately.

The headsculpt issue seems to be a hit or miss thing. I lucked out and seemingly got a passable one for the most part. The headsculpt I believe is the same headsculpt they used for civilian Steve in the WS dual pack, but they just gave the hair more of a goldish tint and painted the eyes to look like they are gazing to the left. Just to differentiate it I suppose from the civilian Steve headsculpt, which is looking straight ahead.

The shoulder joints on mine as I mentioned are a little loose as well, which I contacted SS about and they stated that it seems to be a pervasive issue with the figures because they can only really pose their figure with the arms downward for the most part due to the nature of the suit, especially with the magnetic shield in hand, and say the shoulder joints on their figure are definitely a little looser than normal.

I still like him though. I've been looking forward to receiving him since January.

Just got my Cap in the mail and took it out of the box briefly to inspect, it looks really solid and very happy with the purchase :clap

Does anyone else's unmasked HS skin tone look a little darker than it should btw?

I just got mine. I had time to get him out of the box real quick before the wife and kids got home and rained on the parade. After a way to quick inspection I think his pants need some adjustment. The knee pads seem a little high and I think his pants need to be tucked into his boots. Any advice on the best way to do this before I go and do something stupid like stuffing them into his boots with a screwdriver?

What about that little plastic tool that some of the HT figures come with? I'm not sure how to explain it specifically, but I presume that would probably be a lot less drastic and potentially damaging than what a screwdriver would.

ShartimusPrime uses the tool I'm referring to at 5:05 in his YouTube review of the strike suit Cap.

Ah yes! One came with Dark World Thor I think!

Thanks for the sentiment TS.

So I heard back from SS regarding it, and they stated that they verified with their in-house display that the arms on the figure seem to be consistently loose, as the arms on their figure are pretty much only posable in a downward facing position as well. The elbows bend normally (which mine do as well), but they say the shoulder joints on their figure are definitely a bit loose. They stated the reason for this is likely due to the nature of the suit design.

It sounds like this, in addition to the occasional lazy eye on some of the headsculpts that others mentioned in the thread, seem to be the main issue with this figure. I lucked out with the headsculpt and got one that had both eyes facing the same direction to the left.

And like others mentioned, I do wish the magnetic hands were a little more closed fisted.

Still definitely the best Cap figure though thus far, in my opinion. I love this guy.

Nice Pics:clap

Well the arms on mine are tight so it may be that there in-house display has the same issue as yours but not that their all that way judging from mine, did they offer to replace it or just blow smoke up your rear to get you to go away? I would look into a replacement body from them, these figures aren't cheap and while expecting perfection isn't reasonable a loose arm could be a sign of hidden breakage under the suit or at the very least a loose screw that needs to be tightened in which you might be able to do.

One came with this figure too ... at least mine did anyway.

I found it. It was with the instruction sheet.

I don't think I'm 100% satisfied with the pose but at least he's where he belongs...

Thanks! :)

Yeah, I'm still going to pursue it. I got the impression it was a diplomatic way of saying "Oh well." It also didn't really make sense to me either because they mentioned the joints on their figure's shoulders were loose, and said that they could be that way due to the nature of the suit and that this is a common issue with figures with similar suits. Strike suit Cap has a similar suit to the AoU and strike suit's arm is limited in mobility genuinely due to the tightness of the suit - not because of a loose joint. Cap's arms (right in particular) on AoU definitely need more serum. Haha. They really do literally go limp. They didn't offer a replacement, but I know the loose arm is going to bother me. Absolute worst case scenario, I do have an extra civilian Steve Rogers body. I believe they're essentially the same.

Nice pics Rheul! :clap Did the plastic tool do the trick regarding the issue with the pants?

I like your pics as well dharper. It's funny the way strike suit cap is pointing at the AoU figure, as if saying "He's the new guy." Haha.

Update with the Lazy Eye Rogers Sculpt. I received an email back from SS stating they will be sending me a corrected version within 10 days. Pretty nice of them, so I'm hoping this one is better.
As for the arms on my figure; they don't appear to be too loose. His arms stay in the spot I put them in even with the die cast shield.
If anyone wants to make the magnetic hands to look more fist like, you can refer to an early post. It is very simple with very hot water and super glue (GEL). You can see how they are shaped in these photos.

Wasn't sure how I wanted to display all my Captain America Figures. At first I thought about the progressive stages of the uniform, but my shelves aren't wide enough and I only have two shelves at this time. So until I get a new display in my "man office". This is what I came up with.
Top shelf, Cap's solo movies and second shelf the Avengers.

Just got him yesterday and unpacked him. Will take pics tomorrow hopefully. One thing weird about the figure which I thought was a defect until looking at the official photos is there is silver lines on the helmet on the left temple that seem like an error and the weird wear on the back of the helmet. They looked like paint defects until I looked at others photos and the proto photos.

Yes, it sounds like I just got a defective one. There's no way the arms on mine would be able to achieve that height/pose without dipping down. And if the shield is in his hand, flopping back down. I hope I can get it corrected. Almost to the point where I'd be willing to purchase a new figure and sell the previous one for parts (sans the defective body) and retain my money out of that one in an absolute worst case scenario. I like this particular figure too much to know that Cap has no serum in his arms on mine. As TS mentioned earlier, I don't expect absolute perfection, but I do believe the shoulder joints on mine are a little too loose.

Sweet shelves by the way! I love the set-ups for the Avengers shelf with the Avengers logo in the background, and then the solo Cap shelf with the SSR and SHIELD logo behind TFA Cap and strike suit Cap respectively.
