A low quantity alert would be a good idea, fortunately I ordered AOU Cap on August 1st with $75 of reward points:yess: looks like I might have got one of the last ones, luckily it hasn't any flaws, now we just have to wait for the Civil War version :lol.

Nice :hi5:

I'll be at about $70 once Stealth points convert. I wanted to use all my points up for this one because I don't anticipate getting any new figures for awhile...unless we see a Summer Exclusive that appeals to me.

Guess I shouldn't have waited. :gah:

I felt bad to request a replacement through Sideshow, but my AoU Cap's shield had a pretty noticeable chip right out of the box. :\

Thanks man that's cool to hear:hi5:

Here's the review

I was just watching your review again TS on AoU Cap as I think you gave a great review on it, and I just noticed (not sure if you're privy of it) that the Cap in the video is missing the Avengers "A" logo on his left shoulder. That's the first time I've seen that. I wasn't sure if you were aware of it, but I thought I would let you know man.

Ok, so the high waisted pants were really bugging me, so I removed the pants and refitted them securely snugging them more so the middle stripe has a gap just like the film:lecture

IMO I think the gap helps more with the overall proportions and physique of the figure

I also snugged the belt more tighter to the waist so it stays more stationary to the figure's waist

Now when he is in a flexed pose, it doesn't look awkward with the pants riding up the waist

I also retied the cuffs of the top of the pants so it has less bunchiness and creases when in an action pose

It really makes a difference with the Roger's sculpt IMO when that gap is there:clap

Great pictures! He definitely looks better with a bit of white showing underneath the middle stripe, as that is indeed how it's supposed to be. For some reason, HT seemingly packaged him with his pants pulled up a bit high. I just simply pulled down the pants a bit on mine, so there was some white showing underneath his middle stripe.

Knowing that he's on the cusp of selling out just as quickly as Star-Lord did and that his price will likely increase, I'm so happy I have this figure in my collection. For those that haven't been able to pick him up yet, if you act now and look on eBay, you might be able to find him right now from other sellers for roughly the same price as he is on SS, before the price goes up.

Don't wait.

Love mine, Stealth suit is still my fav, but that figure looked crap in comparison to this one.

Excellent picture!

Yeah, I really liked strike suit also. But what that figure missed, this figure picked up the slack. I don't think strike suit was all that bad of a figure though. They got the size of the body correct, but his chest was a little too flat and the arms don't have much articulation in them if you're an avid dynamic poser.

But CW Cap is almost 2 years away. Im talking about actually being released.

Its a long time to wait, what if the prototype looks like crap or the release looks like crap, what are you gonna do then?

I doubt it. CW is the same suit minus some color, it'll look fine.

I think CW Cap might be closer to a year a way given how fast they released this one, and that it's essentially the same suit. Hell, maybe they'll even fix the poorly aligned knee pads on CW Cap. This might just be a blessing in disguise for those of us that missed out on this one.

Well I finally preordered one of these today from a local supplier before the inevitable price hike occurs. Ended up being a bit cheaper than Sideshow's price when the exchange rate and shipping is included. I had seen it a bit cheaper at a few other places, but many places are sold out of this figure now.

I didn't really expect it to sell so quickly tbh. The 43 is still available in most places so maybe they just made more of that figure, or it hasn't sold as well as this Cap.

I'd assume they just made more of the 43

I'm actually playing the waiting game with the 43... I need an Iron Man and it's my favorite armor so far. I just need to finish paying off Vision before I start in on the 43. I'm hoping the sheer volume of Iron Man figures and Civil War not far off will keep the 43 reasonable for a little longer.

43 I'm waiting on also and I have the benefit of having the 45 as back up if 43 sells out and still have an AoU Iron Man.

Just checked eBay. Not one listed for under 300 bucks now (including US sellers, and not including the open auctions with 1 dollar reserves that usually ultimately get foolishly bidded up to astronomical prices anyway).

Just a mere few weeks ago, you were able to find him on eBay new for around 230-250, which was roughly the same you would get him out the door at SS. The price is already increasing.

Well hopefully it hangs around a bit for ya!

BBTS still has them for $267 shipped(with the cheap shipping) but when they sell out I can see Star Lord prices.

Not surprising. Once he's sold out everywhere all the procrastinators will be paying top dollar. He's my favorite figure that I bought this year. Simply a home run

Agreed. He's my favorite figure that I've purchased period, to be honest (I don't count MoS [my other favorite fig] because he was given to me as a gift).

Nice pics JP!
