If it does go to sold out at SSC, your best bet is keeping a close eye on the for sale board here. At least if you want it for a good price. Some people sell stuff on here for Ebay prices but you will likely find someone selling it at or just over retail if you are persistant.

Yeah, I was able to score GA Cap for a little bit over retail from a member here. Brand new.

Well I think Hot Toys wised up and lowered production numbers.

Or it could be it was due to the mega $$$$ box office? or that it was the main character that a lot of collectors collect??? w/ 2 excellent sculpts???? etc.... I know I am not the only one that has more than one, someone said they had 4 or 5. It is just the best Cap to date and a lot of people wanted him.. I doubt they limited his run much, as they knew it was $$$$$/ and audience. Not sure I buy that theory just yet....and he was on pre-order for how many months? It wasn't like he just went up for pre-order and sold out in days....

well being the highly collected main character/best rendition to date in a multi-mill box office, would probably be a "sweet spot"....which was my point in my post lol

I'm just saying that if Cap is sold out this soon, they left a lot of $ on the table by not making more of him. Then again, with CW right around the corner and that suit so similar to this one, maybe it doesn't really matter.

well it has been 2 months or so since he went off pre-order in US. and if they made more than a usual run # then they will de-value their line & collectors would worry about pricing and/resale value then too right? with all they are making for CW and are slated to make this year/next yr already, I don't know what or when he will be up in that line up. lot of ???? for sure. would really like to know if they did make less, but I just can't see them doing that on this guy/movie.

yeah, it was pretty good

I already have cap and iron man mk 43. I have ultron, and thor preordered. Now I kinda wanna get vision and hulkbuster. HB is a little more expensive than I feel comfortable spending on a toy though.

I don't necessarily think HT lowered production numbers, top early to tell for that. Cap was just a very popular release, awesome figure. Not unreasonable to think a lot of people wanted him, more people willing to buy at release rather than wait. He sold out because it was a popular fig.

Yeah, I jumped right on board this figure because it's the very best Cap Hot Toys has produced and it had the extra Rogers head that was also awesome--you can't really beat this set. I didn't know for sure if it would sell out but in the case of this figure I wasn't willing to risk it so I pre-ordered. As a general rule I prefer to wait on Hot Toys figures until I see in-hand pics, but Cap is my favorite character from the MCU and I just needed this figure. Also I already knew the Rogers head would be great because it was just a repaint of the one from the Winter Soldier set.

I'm waiting for in-hand pics of Scarlet Witch though. Need to see if they can fix that big head problem.

A lot of factors probably played into AOU Cap selling out so fast.

Many skipped the strike suit from WS since it wasn't the iconic blue, red and white colors including myself. I skipped the whole line and saved all my money for AOU. HT could have limited numbers since the strike suit sold poorly.

I'm not a Cap completionist so I'm only buying figures from the Avengers titled movie lines.

HT really messed up STRIKE Cap. I bought it but if HT remade it like AoU Cap I would happily rebuy it again and give my old one to my son.
