Stuffed up his pant legs a bit. On mine it always felt like his legs looked a tad too skinny. Padded up around his neck to try and give him traps too, although it's not terribly feasible and it ended up looking ultra subtle. **** I even shoved some gauze up his ass so it looks like he has a butt now. I'll see if I can find some good pre-stuffing pics for comparison.

Interesting. His thighs look a bit larger than stock, so I can tell you added some padding in there.

Before and after pics would be interesting to see.

Just got mine and I'm having a problem. I unzipped the back because I needed to adjust the magnets. Now when I try to zip it back up, the top half stays closed but the bottom half wont zip. Anyone know what to do?

Wish I could help you here. I have two AoU Caps actually and the same thing happened to one of mine. When attempting to zip it back down (I've always found it odd that the zippers on these figures close by zipping down as opposed to up), it essentially stopped zipping halfway and the teeth on the zipper began to become detached above the zipper (as shown in your image). The zipper eventually just became disconnected from one side.

At this point, I've just resorted to looking for a spare one on eBay.

Thanks for the reply. I've already emailed sideshow about a replacement which I doubt they'll have. If not, then I'm just going to return it. I simply cannot enjoy it knowing there's an issue.

That happened to my STRIKE suit when I attempted to remove the fat suit. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix it.

I always thought the zippers were purely cosmetic

I've never attempted to actually unzip them

AIR, you popped the zipper, try to realign the teeth together and re-zip the zipper past the point at which it popped, then zip back the other way and see if it aligns/re-zips. it might take a few tries, but should work if you get teeth aligned and do not strip out the zipper. GL.

Please elaborate. I'm not familiar with the Rocket /Groot reference.

Rocket and Groot went on to waitlist and then went back into stock not long afterwards. I don't think that's what's happening with Cap though, it has sold out in most places around, so I imagine SSC is also getting low on stock.

Yeah, I tried several times but it's not working. We'll see what sideshow will do...

It sounds like zippers on suits are the kiss of death so to speak. Snaps (such as belts) and pegs I'll tamper with, but zippers are a no fly zone.

Thanks. Kind of like how I got burned with Starboost. Jumped on the waitlist only to have it become available 2 weeks later and now warming the shelves. I thought the same thing with Cap but I think you are correct, once it started selling out everywhere else this looks legit.
Hoping to hear something soon.

Sorry to hear about the zipper problem. Be careful whatever you do try. My WS Cap had the same problem and eventually the zipper came completely off the tracks/teeth after my attempts to fix it. Never could get it back on then, and the zip eventually split in two when I tried to pop it back onto the teeth. My sewing skills are fair enough so I just stitched him into the suit after that. Not ideal at all tho, just be gentle and don't force anything too hard. Hope you get it fixed!

Bummer.....only had one figure do that. Hope you can get it fixed.

Zips can be pretty fragile, even in clothes, particularly blind zips. I would definitely refrain from fiddling with them too much on a 1/6 figure. Trying to have it replaced will be difficult due to the small scale.

This is the old shield but I don't want to dig up the old A1 Cap thread.

Legit? or custom? I remember the customs having a band strap in the back rather than "leather" straps but these leather straps look cheap... :lol

BBTS has them, but it's way over retail. Last I saw they were waitlisted at SS, but maybe SS is waiting for a huge allotment of them to come in. It's way too early to be completely sold out.

CORRECTION: Now BBTS is out of them.

The only thing I've done with Cap is snip off a few loose threads. Not going to mess with anything else, especially since he's sold out now.

Same here. Snipped off a few loose threads and removed his utility belt once simply to pull his pants down a bit so there is some white showing underneath the middle red stripe, then snapped it back on. Not doing anything more than that.
