With the figures being hand made (which makes them unique in my opinion), I don't think the odds are high you're going to get an utterly "perfect" figure so to speak, where everything is centered absolutely perfectly and there's utterly no imperfections at all.

Thats true, all my figs have some "character" of some sort.

I've lucked out, the only real defect I've had was a paint chip on War Machine's helmet, and SSC sent me a replacement.

Well, I spoke too soon - The seller on eBay deleted his account two days later after I paid for the figure. Already started a dispute so I'll get my money back eventually but I was really looking forward to having this guy on my shelf.

Ah, sorry that happened. Was his feedback otherwise excellent up until that point?

I hope that he does. What I use as a guide though is the fact that the only Cap figures that have came with an additional sculpt (excluding TWS dual pack) thus far have been the Caps from the Avengers films. The Cap figures from his solo movies haven't, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

unfortunately the stitching on the red and white parts on the front of the suit is slightly off center

I guess like the Adam West 1966 Batman with the off center Bat emblem. Mine has a lot of "character".

I think the eyes of my Evans sculpt is okay, but have to check again later. I really like this 1st Cap of mine and I am glad that I scored with a good Cap at last!

I reckon they'll definitely do a new Cap sculpt for CW as they've used the current one for the last two releases.

I'm hoping they'll do a BD Cap though for CW seeing as the film will focus on the war between Steve and Tony. Clean and BD versions, perhaps one as an exclusive would be great.

My prognostication is that the solo CW Cap figure won't come with an additional unmasked sculpt (barring they don't produce some sort of dual pack like TWS), and the IW Cap will. I hope I'm wrong though and CW Cap does include one.

There's always an inherent risk when bidding on an item by a Chinese seller, I guess. Aside from the barrage of negative feedback he received in the last day from people in the same boat as me, he only had one neutral comment which he replied to and everything so it seemed to be a legitimate account. I was really surprised it happened.

Fortunately by the time I noticed the other night, the refund was already being processed so I got my money back within the day. Looking back on it, it seems like his business or whatever went under and he reimbursed the handful of people he couldn't honor before nuking the account.

Fortunately I was able to get an open box one from another member here for a decent price so by Friday I'll have him set up next to Thor and the Mk43 armor.

I searched for "Captain America" on SSC on my phone and this Cap doesn't show up. The stealth Cap & the Rogers combo set are still available! Ha!
