The articulation between this one and the SS in particular is really no contest. Also, in its defense, there are a lot of promo poses I've seen for a lot of figures, figures that ended up having great articulation at that, that seem to be extremely difficult to acheive 100% identical to the promo pose picture.

I know the announcement pictures of Selina Kyle clearly showed that she can kneel down, but the production version cannot make it exactly like that. But I think the CW Cap announcement pictures are not that extreme...but I don't know...I agree that the announcement pictures can be deceptive...

Just look at the pictures they did for the workshop set...Mark VI with the open palm firing position repulsors???

I think that I like him better with the Steve rogers head on better.

I think both sculpts looks great on it. I started with the un-helmeted sculpt, then switched to the helmeted sculpt for awhile, and now am settling with the un-helmeted sculpt. With the exception of the GA figure due to the stock sculpt looking so pinheaded (used an extra TWS Steve Rogers sculpt on it), I tend to have my Cap figures from his solo movies with helmeted sculpts on and the two Cap figures from the Avengers films with un-helmeted sculpts. In the two Avengers films, it seems like he has his helmet off the majority of the time in the final battles and vice versa in his solo films, so I feel that's a good pattern to go by.

I have Strike Cap with the helmet and this AoU figure with the Steve head holding his helmet.

I haven't decided on getting the CW version at this point. I'd rather just pick up a few of the other characters that I have yet to buy like Falcon and Bucky.

You just inspired me give the helmet a break and give the Rogers sculpt some time
