Neck size is actually not that far off. Proportions are off though which is causing the upper half of the figure to look weird.

His chest is too narrow and small. Head is a bit too big. Widen the shoulders and overall upper body, shrink the head and it would look better.

Can compare it to the 1/4 King Arts statue/charger which looks to be spot on from head to toe. Can see how narrow the shoulder area is on the Hot Toys figure.

The 1/4 statue doesn't have joints correct?

As for the neck..it's fine. A neck shouldn't extend past the jaw bone. Any bigger, or a smaller head, and it would.

They open on the figure. Not as much as the movie but the mouth moves

huh? i don't see any photos where they're open.

not close to this anyways..

i'm talking about the circles on the sides of his mouth, not his mouth itself. i don't see any shots of the circles being open the way they are in the movie when he gets angry.

the one displayed on toy soul last month seems better, at least the head is smaller. isnt it?

This is one of those figures that completely depends on the LED's to bring it to life.

The head sculpt is just totally lost without the red lights, I know that is a product of the design,
but I would want to leave him "on" all the time.

This guy is another one of my most anticipated PO's.

It is unfortunate though, because the LED's just give him so much life and vitality. While they're turned off (which is how he's going to have to be displayed most of the time), he just looks dead and lifeless.

Still very cool looking though, and I can't wait to receive it.

is he still expected to come out in january?

i agree about the LED's.. with a figure like this, it'd be nice if the LED's were able to be controlled via a remote.. that way you can leave the lights off when you're out of the room, but when you're in the room, you can light him up at your leisure when you want to look at him. a lot easier than having to pick him up and turn them on, or open a display case to turn them on.

I'd say the latter part of February, early March would be more likely.

Maybe Ultron's leaning forward in the pics above? The neck just doesn't look right to me. That and the head are the main reasons why I've steered clear of Ultron thus far.

I've been out of touch for a bit but it looks like this thread went quite for a little while anyway. Nice to see some new con pics but this release confuses the hell out of me. I can't figure out what the latest revision is. Last I tuned in the pic posted here (https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/...-aou-ultron-prime-collectible-figure-310.html) with the softer details in the nose area was the current revision. Now they're going back to the head with deeper line-work?

Either way I'm pumped for this guy still.

I saw someone post a good point about the lights though. Why is it that we never have seen them on in any con displays? Kinda weird.

I've grown so accustom to it though so I really don't mind how he looks when they're off. Looks awesome dark actually and I'm assuming he'll look that much better with them on, unless they're hiding something and that's why we never see them :lol

^ Old sculpt is the new sculpt (since it was the most accurate anyway) only now it looks less rough and seem to have been refined. Also...

Yeah this was brought up before, basically Ultron's neck needs to be thicker to make it really accurate. Only problem is that the physics of how his actual neck works in the film is practically impossible to replicate unless the figure never had an internal LED core, so the small frame of the figure's neck was a necessary compromise to maintain the head/neck joint and the LED feature. Honestly I can live with it.

So I've been pretty out of touch - will this figure's red eyes etc be from LED? Does that mean when he's on display he's going to be all grey?
