I got this and the Delorian coming around the same time. My wife is gonna give me so much s%** for these two juggernaut boxes showing up on the doorstep lol.
If life circumstances are that bad that 80$ are gonna make it or break it, perhaps even thinking about spending 900$ for this figure shouldn't be in your priority list, period....just sayin...
Only people who are bothered by NRDs are just people who like the option of canceling after they think things through...impulse buyers with buyers remorse....which sort of screws others who really want te figure and the retailers who get stuck wth overstock.
More concerned about where and how to display. This would be my most expensive HT figure. I originally was going to have it standing on top of my detolf but maybe not. To display behind glass nor not is my question. How am I gonna display this?
Anyone got any display plans for this? I Need some ideas or furniture options. Thanks in advance!

I think you guys should think long and hard about what $900+ shipped can go toward. The other (non-collectible) things you can buy. The trips you can take. Seriously. Think it over.
I think its more that by the time it is finally released someone who has ordered it may not have the like $800 + to pay for the rest of it and then they are out the 80 bucks too. A lot can happen in a year, new baby, loss of a job etc. Not totally unreasonable.
Im not even sure why SS and HT put up preorders so far in advance. Personally i think they should set edition sizes like ss used to and put pre orders up 3-4 months before it is released.
Have to say that worked like a charm with me on ACI's unexpectedly small run of Ringwraith figures. Estimated run was supposed to be 2400 and that was chopped down to 800 (with 100 exclusives). I went from considering getting 1 to getting 2 exclusives and a regular. Definitely did light a fire under me to make a decision and buy now....The less made, the faster it would sell out, the more I didn't want to take the chance...
It'll definitely go coupon eligible.Assuming its still available for pre-order in a few months, it will at least be eligible for the $20 coupon right?
That's how I tend to look at it, too. When you break down how much one spends on intangibles and consumables like going out for dinner or take-out, the price of say Hulkbuster is not that bad, so long as one budgets and doesn't let spending in any one place get out of hand....Yes it's a fair bit of money. But it's our/their money to spend. The movie is gonna cost 20 bucks a person for 2 hrs of time. If this thing lasts 1 year it will have cost pennies a day in comparison. IN the 9 months I'll be paying flex my gasoline charges per month will be higher then this things payments. My cell phone twice as much. my cable/internet 3 times. My water bill about the same. And I'll actually have something solid and tangible when it's paid for, as opposed to those others.
It'd be a hell of lot of fun to destroy it with impunity, though (clean-up would be a bit of a chore). So many options, too. Baseball bat, crowbar, sledgehammer...
No way.
Look at their other big ticket items. Whiplash Mark II is still available for preorder. The Deloreon is still on preorder. The Bat is still on preorder. Things like the Armory Batman value 3 pack, Robo w/ chair and Igor are still available.
I promise you that by April 2016, this will still have "preorder" status. It's not going anywhere. Like I posted before, there's no incentive to preorder this thing today, this month, or even this year.
Don't preorder until in-hand pics arrive? You're compensating the company for the trouble of bringing it in and in exchange you're not on the hook and no longer committed to buy. Seems fair to me.Also, what if you just plain don't like the final product once its released?
Hadn't even thought of guns but yes I could see 'buster being fun to shoot, haha.Mossberg MMR Tactical.....
