1/6 Hot Toys - MMS297 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Luke Skywalker Collectible F...

I finally found the perfect Luke-related accessory for a nostalgic display. It's a great looking T-16 Skyhopper, made by DeAgnostini. It appears to be the perfect 1/6th size to represent the toy model Luke was playing with in his garage. I'll add an accurate three-legged copper-colored stand to it, and it should look great in Luke's hand, with 3PO and R2 nearby.View attachment 237376View attachment 237377

Great idea, Anthrapod. Please post pics when you have them both. Would love to see it. Given all the stuff Hot Toys included this is one of the few other possibilities I could even think of.

For both Luke and Han, the key to bringing out the likeness seems to be creating some shade on the brow line to remove some of the dead stare look. Good news is that it's fairly easy to do...

Accidentally started a thread asking this question, probably should've looked and found this one first. Lol. Can't decide how to pose this guy. With or without the blaster helmet. Some people really hate the head sculpt, while others love it. I'm really not sure what I want to do. One suggestion was to just have him holding the helmet, which I may try. I also find that taking the helmet on and off is risky, as it comes very close to rubbing against the nose each time and possibly causing damage.

it all comes down to do you like it. I would leave the helmet off, it may damage the head sculpt over the years. The last pic has too much lighting and when shining a bright light at any head sculpt....it looks very bad.

Yeah, I recently adjusted the lights on that display so the face isn't illuminated so bright. Makes a world of a difference.

I fixed my typo lol. I should get this tomorrow and already have the Luke Stormtrooper. His head sculpt looks best at a slight angle rather than straight on. The only problem w/ Luke is he has too many options to set him up :rotfl

Yeah, he does. I just want to throw them all on him even though it wouldn't make any Cinematical sense. Lol

Great pics!

When mine arrives, I'm leaning more towards displaying him without the blade in the hilt. He didn't really use it all that much in the film except when he was doing the exercises with the blaster helmet on, and when Obi-Wan first showed it to him. Although in that scene, he was more looking at it in awe rather than using it per se.

About that blast shield helmet in ANH... Who carries such a useless helmet? A pilot helmet with a totally opaque visor? WTF? Why did Han have this on board? I certainly didn't see Ben carrying it with him when he hopped aboard... It was useful in the movie training wise, but not very logical... I find the accessory very cool, but would not hide the glorious Luke sculpt with it! :cuckoo:
