Is Deadpool's suit made from the same type of material that was on the Avengers Fury coat? I remember people having issues with that.

Dean got unlucky, everyone is overreacting in my opinion. Hot Toys are fragile -- nothing new here. Most people on OSR who have this in hand seem to be over the moon about it, and I personally can't wait to get mine. They nailed the likeness, and it has solid poseability, really the only two things I look for. The wrist surgery Rick did looked easy enough. Impossible to watch Clippers pose video and not get hyped for this (which he filmed after all this wrist fear mongering got underway).

There's no fear mongering in being concerned. We don't pay two hundred plus bucks for something to fall apart. Whether it's the wrist area or the entire suit it's an issue. It doesn't deserve to be smoothed over because hot toys did something they were suppose to do, make accurate figures. Rick's had wear on it even with the material properly tucked in. So it wasn't that Dean was simply unlucky. He did what most collectors do, pose their figure. If this hadn't been caught so early others would likely be facing the same problem. At least now we know to throw on the kiddie gloves when handling it.

Yeah, pretty helpful taking advantage of a replacement policy after rough handling a figure.

Lol easy there tough guy. I'm not going to dip the figure in acetone. But I'm not going to leave it in a museum pose like some people on here feel they should, out of safety (which is fine, more power to them). I'm gonna pose it around more than a few times a week

Then don't pick up the figure I guess? I knew someone was going to bring up price points -- as though $200 somehow guarantees a flawless product with magical materials that are immune to wear.

Want to keep your new kicks mint? Then keep them in a box and don't wear them. I feel like the same theory applies here. It's shame it happened to Dean so quickly, but now that the community is aware of the issue we can all handle the figure appropriately to help mitigate the issue -- and that's assuming it's an issue that exists across the entire production line, which it may or may not be.

Talked to SSC a few days ago ensuring my NRD was charged because my card was charged but my ordered page online did not reflect that. After I cleared that up I threw in a question about if deadpool was delayed. The womans answer was "we actually did get word from hot toys that we won't be receiving our shipment until october due to a delay" sucks but better knowing theres some time instead of having that constant waiting feeling for over a month. Figured I would share.:impatient:

I think people should handle this figure like very other hot toys figure they own no more no less, they give you hands to change and pose the figure lol. Thats why were not in a thread about premium format figures, we like the infinite poses you can put 1/6 scale figures in. Who wants to be limited to a static pose because of a manufacturing flaw. If enough people use the figure in a regular manner and end up needing a replacement figure, maybe that would teach hot toys QC a lesson. And I have dozens of sixth scale figures. Never had visible wear/damage after a few hand swaps over the course of a few days after getting the figure or even through the life of a figure. Thats definitely a big quality control issue and probably why the figures delayed in North America.

Not only has a member been told not to handle the figure because the suit would do the same we now have sideshow saying there's a delay. I'd say thats pretty indicative of a problem across the board.

I hope with this incident I can pick up this figure for dirk cheap. PM me if you want to dump your crappy quality suit, turtle neck, neck is too long, in-accurate color, no Ryan Reynolds head sculpt Deadpool figure. I am willing to pay top dollars like $25/per figure. :) :) :)

I think it's safe to assume the SS delay is due to the wrist QC issue -- lots of easy fixes for that.

On a side note, does anyone recall the last time a non IM release has sold out on SS prior to release? Feels like a minute.

Some guy on Facebook is trying to trade Deadpool for an EX DX11 lol.

Well at least I have until October to decide if I want to cancel... really unfortunate though.

I'm wondering what their going to do about the QC. I have my figure coming in the next couple of days. I was planning on doing Clippers mods. I wasn't planning on swapping out the hands much anyway. I'm debating to just keep mine or send it back and hope for a better batch.

I guess this is the one good thing about having figures on pre-order from Sideshow...aside from having time to pay off the figure in smaller increments, the waiting period, although frustrating, while it ships from Secret Base to California is good to be able to see what kinds of issues arise from people who already got their figure. Gives you some extra time to decide if you want to see how bad the issue is or just cancel outright.
