Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

As big a Terminator fan as I am, and as much as I care about accuracy, I have never taken the time to analyze all of the issues with any of the offerings out there. Probably because it would only leave a sour taste in my mouth. I bow to your expertise a-dev and P. So, that having been said, is there any chance that anything out there, whether it be the Sideshow 1/4 scale or Hot Toys 1/6 scale or something else, is close enough that it could be modified with a custom produced kit? Scaletta Studios seems like they could handle something like that. They are the ones trying to do the TX after all. I'd probably be willing to drop $500 on a package that would upgrade the Hot Toys endo to a true T1. Obviously, if everything has to be changed, there's no point.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

So is this figure dead? The T-800 Guardian is up for preorder. I'd love to get this Endo. He'd look good next to my T-700 and my other Arnolds of course!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I prefer to use as a more general term ''Cameron-Endo'' - to distinguish T1/T2 from the T:Genisys Endo but also account for the likelihood that what Hot Toys would put out would not be specifically based on either the T1 or T2 Endos as they don't make any distinction between them. I don't believe we'll ever get an actual T1 Endo from anybody, certain T2 details pretty much totally supplanted what it looked like originally. Quite simply not enough people care, even among those who are making these things, whose business it ought to be to care.

Totally thought about something else! :lol

Dunno. I ended up getting the T-700 because it looks more like a T-800 than this thing.

No figure is guaranteed until you can preorder it. That's the safest assumption you can make with Hot Toys.

Hah, yeah good point. Maybe not such a good idea.

Well i guess the wait continues. I may have to order The T-800 Guardian in the mean time. Maybe more preorders on that will ensure the endo gets made!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

You're gunna love the T-700! Im glad I have mine!

Good to hear, mate. :)

I actually prefer the darker gunmetal look over the plain silvery one, although I've never had either in hand, just what I've gathered from photos.
At least until someone makes a full chromed classic endo in 1/6, the T-700 will fulfill my need for an endo.

Yeah I missed out on the T2 Endo that came out a long time back, when I saw the T-700 I knew id hate myself for letting yet another Endoskeleton slip by. The 700 is close enough for now. A full chrome version would be epic!

I still think HT would have been better off starting with this version of Arnold from Genisys.

That would be epic! I was hoping they would do a gray haired version of the head sculpt. Make it more unique from the other Terminator figures!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

No one has addressed the elephant in the room so I guess I will. As a huge terminator fan I am sad to come to the reality that I don't think this guy will be produced. HT has too much on their plate with Force Awakens and Dawn of Justice and the monthly new Iron Man variant that will occupy all their time. This guy is going on a shelf with Drax, Prometheus, and others that we have been teased on and even shown prototypes in some cases only to fall off the grid in the wake of large franchises catching HT eye.

Let me look in my crystal ball and see what this new year will bring us from HT......I see every imaginable variant of storm trooper, 4-6 new Iron Man and a lot of Superman/Batman Dawn of Justice. If you like anything other than these lines, sorry maybe in 2017.

Yeah probably right, I wasn't planning on getting the Endo from Genisys anyway. I still think HT should make a Die cast 1/6 Endo from T1 or T2 but I think that's a bit of a pipe dream now.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Drax must have some issue beyond Hot Toys' control, he's a Marvel character from the MCU - there is no way they don't want to make him. So I wouldn't include him with things like Prometheus and Terminator Genisys or anything else non-Marvel.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I was wondering, should I get those old 1/6 HT T-800 endos instead, or are they hopelessly outdated?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

They'll be out of date engineering-wise and paint-wise but not necessarily sculpt/accuracy wise. I prefer the headsculpt on the MMS033 over the one on the 1:4 QS002 and any new endo-figure would likely look more like the latter.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

so erm what happened with this figure and the asian t1000 they were supposed to release. Is it more of the same old hot toys ripley again? i mean the film was released in june.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I seriously doubt ht wont make this, i can see this being churned out real quick and in a hurry like they do when they want to be done with something so they can focus on something else.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

And I want my Hot Toys Tomorrowland figures dammit!

Kidding. Just Hot Toys announcing stuff they don't have time for so as to keep people on the hook.

Thanks a-dev! I might be on the lookout for one then!
