I really hope this thing hasn't been moth balled.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

And I want my Hot Toys Tomorrowland figures dammit!

Kidding. Just Hot Toys announcing stuff they don't have time for so as to keep people on the hook.

They never showed Tomorrowland prototypes though.

The Guardian will probably be the only Genisys release. Who cares. :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

The movie was a bit of a bomb wasn't it? HT aren't going to waste their time doing figures for this film.

They have Arnie's likeness, so it's not surprising that they made the Old Pops version, but I don't see them bothering with the other ones they showed.

HT are probably rethinking these older franchises considering the RoboCop figures didn't sell well, the BD T800 is still in stock in many places, as is Marty McFly.

A bit???

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Yeah i guess they won't be made. its far too long since the movie passed now. It would seem weird anyway if they released them now. I guess hot toys now go by popularity of things i.e if movie is popular make figures and if no demand then don't. They surely must be gauging the interest on these boards also.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Still holding on to hope. The Batman Returns figure was shown at a convention a couple years ago and we just finally got that!!! I guess better late than never. Though I would think they would try to release it somewhere close to the Pop's figure. But what would I know about marketing tactics LOL.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I realize there is a whole lot of money to lose if this goes into production and it doesn't sell, but by the same token, a whole lot of time and money went into making the proto in the first place. Are they busy with other figures right now? Sure, but it doesn't look like there is going to be a lull in the activity. Hot Toys is putting up figures for order at an insane pace. I think I liked it better when it was only a handful per year, not dozens.

yeah me too i definitely liked it when hot toys only released a handful of figures every year. Its like they have gone crazy with the amount of star wars and iron man releases now, some of which like the terminator genisys endo get displayed as protos then never get released.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

^I feel the same way, but if you look at it from a business perspective you can take virtually the same figure with minimal design or accessories difference and call it a new figure.
Example the Iron Patriot then the "hot rod" which was nothing more than a repaint. Or Storm troopers, then squad leaders, officers, heavy gunners etc etc etc. All they are doing is maximizing profit margins by focusing on what would cost them almost nothing to produce.

If the Genisys endoskeleton was the same design as say the old ones, with the exception of the new heavy plasma gun we would definitely have it already. Only because it would be almost no effort to produce, just dig up the molds for the T2 endoskeleton produce and make a quick mold for the new gun and done!!!

Roughly $225 USD through Sideshow

“Reset the future.”

In Terminator Genisys , the judgment day has arrived and more than 30 billion human lives have been lost in the attacks by Skynet. Survivors were captured and put into camps for exterminations. In 2029, Human Resistance leader John Connor has led a final intense battle against Skynet and its menacing armies of Endoskeletons in order to eliminate the hellish artificial intelligence.

Today, Hot Toys is pleased to officially present the new 1/6th scale Endoskeleton Collectible Figure from Terminator Genisys .

The Endoskeleton collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of the terrifying robot from the film. It features the character’s complicated mechanical details throughout the body, specially applied multiple layers of metallic paint on skeleton with weathering effects, LED light-up eyes, a detailed Endorifle, and figure stand.

This new Endoskeleton collectible figure will be a great addition to any Terminator fans’ collection!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

That looks pretty good, but I'm not a fan of TG or those happy T 800 models. I do like how shiny he looks.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I already told myself I would get this. I do like how the turned out

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I'll probably get this at some point. I sort of hoped it would be a diecast figure but at least this way the cost should be lower. I don't think it really matters if you're a fan of Genisys or not as an Endoskeleton is an Endoskeleton and this figure really works for multiple films.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I did not expect that when I saw my Facebook newsfeed... My first thought was it was the Guardian..

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I'm actually shocked. Was convinced this was canned.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

those deep-black shoulder wheels look very bad.
otherwise looks cool.
might get it as a T-700: too complex, vulnerable design with many unneeded sticking out parts before superior T-800 was invented.
but will better save money for a T-800 skeleton, as designed by terminator creator from head to toe.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I'm a little stunned, and not sure what I'll do when it is listed. Six months ago I was going very small with my collection and for really good character actor likenesses. Now I've gone a little more completionist and for instance have all the Thors. By the time this comes out I'll have 3 T-800s (MMS238, DX13, MMS307), so it would actually look pretty good with them.

Yeah what's that about? Were they like that in the movie? Strange choice.

Fair play to Hot Toys for actually following through on this one I suppose. I'll pass though. Original design or nothing.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

i guess this was a reference.

looks like some advertising models didn't have chrome plating.
each one on different parts.

last one is the strangest - shiny chrome right shoulder and plain black left one.
(edit) not the last one already but the one with Schwarzenegger next to it.

the skeleton itself might still grow on me, but i'm afraid it will be like with Threezero ED-209: in the end i got it because it looks cool, but i don't need it in my collection and wish i didn't spend those money.
