The life size Chronicle endo has charcoal grey parts at the shoulder but they're not black. I'm looking at mine right now and they're definitely not black like they made the HT parts.

I think it's the lighting in the photos. They're supposed to have the black shoulder rings for whatever reason.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Everybody is bitching about the size of the thing. I dislike it too, however it seems this was already known from the start. I quote from page 6 of this same topic:

Here one can see the size differences already.

The 1/4 scale Hot Toys standing next to some Chronicle prototype endo? What's the correlation?

I mean an endoskeleton is an endoskeleton. It's supposed to represent Arnold's skeleton. There should be no size difference between the Genisys endo and the original endo. That there is just a case of 2 companies having different ideas about a scale....unless I'm missing your point.

i'm not. i just cancelled my order, probably dropping sellings by 25% :lol

by the way, before those height pictures appeared, i called it a Jake Busey endoskeleton due to teeth.
looks like it's accurate for Jake's height as well!

Once you see those black shoulders you really cannot unsee them.....

The thing is....we're not even asking for much.
All we want is a T1 Endo, that's the right scale, made of chromed diecast, that includes DX features, and is accurate to the source material for roughly $300 within a year's time.

This is obviously possible for IronMan on multiple occasions. :monkey3

man..i really want to like this Endo..but I really don't. That FB pic just confirms it's a flimsy mess. I bet most people buy it because they don't have the T2 endo and just want sort of endoskeleton representation in their collection. If that's the case, I'd even rather pick up the 1/6 aoshima endo on the cheap.

i don't even need diecast or DX features. (i actually don't need diecast ever)

My vid review on the tube:

We don't get an Endoskeleton in 1/6 often...so currently it's they way to go. There are some weak spots...but it's easily acceptable. And yes, it's slightly larger than the Arnie figures. I don't have Genisys Arnie..but i added you 2 pics of older Hot Toys products.

Appreciate the review, but it goes to show that he's way of out scale, considering he's just a skeleton and not wearing footwear which makes him more like 1/5.5 scale than 1/6 scale.

it really is a magnificient job from HT. pity they didn't put all that effort into a real endoskeleton.

I think this looks phenomenal !! Great review ! I'm still not paying full price for this . Should have come with a better base . I'm very happy with the molded hands for hold the gun .

Xenomorph made it look better than anyone else has so far.

But yeah the black shoulder parts look stupid. Absolutely bizarre decision.

About the black shoulder thing. It's weird.

Chronicles doesn't have it:

A lifesize (not sure if it's a Chronicles?) has it during one of the premieres:

Other premiere endo doesn't have it:

Entertainment Weekly doesn't have it:

Movie promo photos don't have it:

I wonder if it's safe to assume these companies are working from the movie 3D data, and whoever made the 3D model they're using as a base ****ed the scaling?
