I would love it if they made a NEW house party protocol armor or 15.Iron Man 3 turns 10 this year. I fully expect a Tony 2.0 from that film.

I'm still waiting for Hammerhead (Mk XXXVII).I would love it if they made a NEW house party protocol armor or 15.

This Iron Man Mark VI with Suit-Up Gantry collectible set will be an iconic piece for your Hall of Armor collection!
Whu....what is holding up that figure as he walks down the stairs? I assumed there would be a dynamic stand that they just painted out in the promo photos.
Very cool set. It's good to see them continue to develop new sculpts. Hopefully gone are the days where we see them reuse the same one for multiple figures. Other than maybe aging him a little too much I think it's spot on.
Up on Sideshow for $655, which is almost the same price as their new Iron Spider PF.
I have the original Mark VI diecast but I’m totally getting this too with the gantry
I owned the VI for years and it looks identical in every way to me. Had to be some retooling for the change-out internal parts included with the gantry and removable neck for the switch-out head but otherwise it's the same figure.
I like the sculpt, I'm glad they gave him the slightest smile finally. People don't love Tony because of how stern he is, he's a fun character.
Yeah come on HT! Where's my TFA Cap and Bucky?
Would love a TFA Cap with HT new standards
yup the tie-in game was super fun and one the best (and one of the last I think) superhero movie tie-in games ever made.
TFA suit is also my favorite Cap suit and have been wishing for a 2.0 for the longest. Hopefully we finally get one
In some shots there's something off that I can't put my finger on but it's mostly there. My general feeling is positive, that's RDJ.
As Gipetto said, pity they're still going with IM2 battle-damage when it's an Avengers release.
Overall though that's an incredible set. Sigh....I might try and swing it when the time comes. To have both his suits from The Avengers 2012 and a major centerpiece display with that gantry. I worry about customs getting wise to low-value declarations for large and heavy boxes such that this will have though. Also my space problem.
With this figure coming I wonder is there still hope for a 2012 Thor 2.0......that's something I definitely need.
I still don't have a Thor.
I’ve been doing an MCU rewatch currently, and Hot Toys is completely feeding into my urges to collect the Phase 1 versions of these characters. This and the Mark III look absolutely stunning. Love the idea of the expressive sculpt personally, although they have some work to do on it still. I do think it captures the way RDJ played him, especially in this movie before his experience with the wormhole and aliens. I definitely will pass on the gantry for space reasons, but this is going to be one I consider for sure.
Hard agree. This is probably the biggest need in my collection to put with the other versions of Thor I’ll have. Those first costumes for him were impeccable imo.
Lol I mean it’s a beautiful piece and a great figure but that gantry…I think people are going to be shocked at how much space will be required to display that. Space I do not have!Yeah I when I initially saw at the promo pics I was wondering if it was utilizing a new mold, but from the looks of it, it seems to be largely identical to the previous version with those additions you mention. So would you say you're tempted to re-acquire this "new" Mark VI?
You what??

Lol, k I’ll run that idea past the wifeBeds take up too much space. Ditch it and sleep on a pile of Hot Toys boxes with a sheet over it like the rest of us.
Wait you guys don’t do that?
Exactly. The gantry and the exposed parts is what makes it a fresh new experience, I think it’d be a must-have but then you gotta have a place to showcase it. But I am glad they are offering the figure separate and for a relatively reasonable price (compared to other diecast iron men) for people who missed out!Ah yes, the ever recurring issue of space!
But yeah I can see some folks who have/had the previous version not want to go for the regular as well, since it comes with pretty much similar accessories bar the downgraded display stand, unless the new head sculpt would be favorable enough.
Will be interesting to see how much the original will depreciate. Already seeing a few new listings on up on eBay at slightly lower pricing than before.
Not that I can tell. Looks pretty much identical in terms of the armor itself. Only real difference are the new headsculpt head here and the helmeted RDJ head on the old.I think the original diecast version is still good. Is there a big leap of improvement on this?
