Walked into my LCS and this was waiting for me, no notice so Sideshow must be shipping the full set out. Have to say I'm not as excited as I thought I would be, I like it, but for the money I'm kind of feeling the burn out, might sell it off or part it out
Sort of how I’ve been feeling with recent POs that have been coming in. I’ve been reselling them almost immediately

Since last year I've dialed right back, the only remaining thing on order is my HTs Batman DKR set, maybe I'm on the way out but I remember being so excited for these, I'll keep the batman cause I don't have a perfect batman yet, but this iron man set is just gratuitous. I did list it but if it doesn't sell them I'll keep it, just don't know where I'll display it yet

That's how I feel about my Mark III Red & Chrome that just arrived. I had picked up the similar Mark VII, so now I don't even want to open this one up. Sigh.

Yea, I'm thinking I'm slowly on the way out of 1/6 as well. Statues have been catching my eyes more over the last year. I have the same thoughts as you with your Iron man as I do with my listed DX Vader and Padme. If they sell, cool; if not, I guess I'll keep them.

They're nice, shiney and sparkly when they go up for order, but seems like they lose their luster when they arrive.

Finally got this out of the box & set it up. Not the most secure figure support - I ended up using some grey duct tape to keep it in place. Excuse the crappy phone pic.

I freaking love the more satin finish on the new HT Mark VI 2.0, but I miss the helmet reveal head, so I took the 1.0 head and gave it a coat of semi gloss to knock back the high shine and match the 2.0. It's not a 100% match, the red is a touch darker, and the finish isn't as satin smooth, but close enough for the naked eye. For those interested, I used Mr Superclear Semi Gloss rattle can topcoat. This will have to do for now, hopefully they release a Mark IV soon with a reveal head in the new satin finish red they're using.

Can anyone who has this 2.0 and the original Mark VI diecast tell me what the differences are? Is it the same figure with some added accessories or is a completely different figure? Thanks

I have both. 1.0 has helmeted portrait, 2.0 has a full un-helmeted portrait. The big difference otherwise is that the 2.0 has a more accurate matte/satin finish whereas the 1.0 has a glossier finish. All the weathering marks and swap out parts are basically the same between the two.

Far ouuutttt. I need to stop coming to this thread. I thought the Mark VII will be my only Iron Man...but the Mark VI just looks...timeless. It must the sharper angles, the triangle Arc Reactor and the right amount of bulk. Oh and it being in Avengers too.
