Hopefully Jar Jar Binks too.
He is an iconic character. If I could summarize the prequels aesthetics™ in 3 characters
TPM Darth Maul, Qui-Gon and Jar Jar.
AOTC Jango, Dooku and Yoda.
ROTS Obi-Wan, Anakin and Palpatine.

:ROFLMAO:
And if you went to 4...

TPM Darth Maul, Qui-Gon and Jar Jar.... and Nute Gunray
AOTC Jango, Dooku and Yoda.... and Nute Gunray
ROTS Obi-Wan, Anakin and Palpatine.... and Nute Gunray

Could have easily included a clear plastic blue ball with the bottom portion cut to sit flush on a flat surface to mimic the shield. Weird that they didn't.

Well I suppose, but A) it would have looked as cheesy as every other effect piece they've done, and B) it would require a much bigger box to fit the ball inside.

This is an impulse "want to buy"... I hope it passes...

It is useless to me without... NUTE GUNRAY!!!!!!!!!

Ha I have exactly the same. I loved the design of the Droideka and had multiples of the Hasbro versions back in the day.
I still remember seeing them in the Episode 1 trailer and being so amazed by how bad-*** they looked. I must have watched that scene 100s of times.
Modifying the Hasbro 9 inch "Mega action" Droideka was one of my first forays into customizing about 21 years ago.

My fear is that this is essentially a statue - pose it once and keep it on the shelf like that forever. Do I like it enough for that, or is it mostly nostalgia coming through? Let's see once kit puts it up from pre-order.

He does look really good here...

Getting 2 of these. Would have liked the shield but im sure 3rd party or customizer will make one. Considering everything on this is a new mold the price is pretty good

I think I'd like a base to support/pose it in wheel mode. Seeing this next to the Super Battle droid, this thing is huge. I thought they would be the size of R2 but they're way bigger.

My thought was primarily around the shipping challenge. Unless you make it a two piece, it'd be huge. If it were two pieces, the seam would look crappy. I'm half joking here, but if you really want the effect, buy a fish bowl and get some translucent blue paint and an air brush. :)

This is pretty pricey for what you actually get though, literally all you get is the Droideka itself. No base, no blaster effects, no cheap blue plastic bubble... nothing..?

I get that the engineering work etc. adds to the price but from a sheer value for money perspective as a customer... it's just not there.

They're reserving that for the Deluxe Christmas Snow Globe Edition.

I’m so in. Hot toys loving the prequels. Do I need 2? I really don’t, but I’m mentally ill. I have so far avoided getting a second super battle droid, but this could throw me over the edge. Surprisingly this is the big reveal this week. I saw this last night and thought for sure I’d be waking up to padawan obi.
