Awesome. Are you going to use the DX15 serious sculpt on your other Artisan? Is the neck going to color match?Just picked up the DX15 serious sculpt.

Mine sort of stays if I push it down all the way, but it covers too much of the brow area. It's just going to vary because these aren't sculpted molds. So has anyone figured out a way to make the hat sit down on his head yet?
If you’re willing to wait out the chance you get a conversion on the Artisan version I would. For now the deluxe is still available through some other retailers like BBTS. I think it wouldn’t be too hard to pick it up down the line if you don’t get the Artisan.I just got a notice that I could buy the Jack Sparrow Deluxe but I'm also on the waitlist for the Artisan one I'm not sure if I should hold off and try to get the waitlisted artisan because I love Jack Sparrow and I'm leaning on waiting for the Artisan I know it's not guaranteed though.
Here's some recent pics of my customDo you have photos of the Rzeznikk's version?
I’ve been adjusting the outfit. I removed the crocodile belt (it didn’t look great) and moved the white/red band down so that it's mostly hidden by the two belts. By default, the band sits really high up on the stomach, and an inch of it is visible when the crocodile belt is removed.
I’m aiming to get it closer to the picture below, even if it’s not an exact match. I just feel like the front of the stock figure is too busy, there’s way too much going on there. Next steps are adding the trinkets and gun, and I’ll likely tweak the pants to make them more tucked into the boots.

It's work, but I highly recommend breaking the belts down and redoing the sash.
For my Jack, took off all the belts and removed the sash, soaked it in water, squeezed out the excess water, balled it up, and wrapped it in elastics for like a day. This helps to add wrinkling and make it look more worn.
To tie it back on Jack, I followed the same steps from this tutorial that I used to tie my sash for my wedding.
You might have to try a couple times to get the right look you're happy with, but the results are great.
Doing this does mean that the magnets in the sash won't line up, but that's fine, you want a more natural look the the hang over the scabbard and belts anyway. I just slip a dime inside and it gives just enough weight to make it hang and look nice.
You also want the two ends hanging down from the belt to be different lengths, one is longer than the other.
the boots ironically aren't leather they are the same as Dx15 it's like a fabric material. The two belts and chest belt for the sword are leather though. Are the boots the only thing that is genuine leather? Or did they say the belts are too this time?
Oh weird. I thought they said the boots were leather?the boots ironically aren't leather they are the same as Dx15 it's like a fabric material. The two belts and chest belt for the sword are leather though.
He could probably do it as OST since that's the last time we see him with both belts.See this is great and all, but the vest should be different, no? It’s solid blue and doesn’t have all that embroidery.
And most importantly, are you planning to keep the same sculpt? He doesn’t have the ‘x’ tattoo and the hair is different if you’re going for an original trilogy look.

I don’t care for it to be 100% accurate. The vest, as you said, would need to be completely different and that’s just not doable. I’m just using the photo as a general reference to get the figure down to a cleaner and simpler look. Stock figure is just too busy. The x tattoo on the face doesn’t bother me either.See this is great and all, but the vest should be different, no? It’s solid blue and doesn’t have all that embroidery.

I was gonna pick up the DX15 vest but to be honest, you really don’t see the buttons much at all once the jacket and sculpt is on the body. I did pick up the rum bottle and diecast sword though.Yeah it's way too busy in the later films. DMC/AWE had a perfect balance.
I plan to get rid of the crocodile belt on mine when I get it as well. I'll probably have to do a complete redress of the figure because I'll swap out the vest for the DX15 with the real buttons.

Yeah I thought that was weird for them to claim that when they are the same material boots from before. If it was real leather they'd be suade leather but that tends to look thick in 1/6th.I just went to check. Weird so they say they are real leather too...View attachment 755933
