1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: JYN ERSO

As much as I dislike a lot of the early RO stuff this looks pretty great. If the movie/Jyn doesn't really suck this is a purchase.

That big fig looks like Jennifer Lawrence cod playing as Jyn Erso.

Yeah, PF Jyn looks nothing like Felicity Jones but what do I know. As someone suggested I must need glasses.

Everybody wants sculpts with expressions until they give them to us. Then it's, "wish the face was more neutral." (Case in point, Harley Quinn).

Everybody wants multiple sculpts but nobody wants to pay for them. The days of two heads for $150 are long gone. Even in those days, multiple sculpts weren't that common.

Anyway, such is the way of the collector.

Well it seemed like the majority of people here were arguing that HT's Han needed to capture more of his personality (along with having a better likeness of course) and to be more along the lines of what Jnix eventually gave us. So not sure why that should be out of bounds for every other SW character out there.

It's not a huge issue for me though, and more of just a "would be nice" type of thing. And it definitely helps that the Jyn sculpt is already about a million times better than the Han was.

I don't really have any idea what Jyn's personality will be in the movie. I wish she'd be more "pesky" being a bandit and thief... but all the scenes of her so far show me a very internal character. She seems a bit boring to me. And one stick fight doesn't make her "cool" or "badass" to me. I hope she's more interesting than the peeks have alluded.

Yeah I agree, she seems like the generic heroine lead, humourless and stiff. I hope she has more to her. She does seem more of an internal character, which is perfectly fine if they actually develop it. Then I'm on board.

Once again Hot Toys gives a figure a unsightly visible neck joint then selects pictures hides or tries to hide it. Good thing I prefer Imperials.

I noticed this as well malgus. Sucks th at you would have to put the scarf on her to cover it up. I don't know why they just cant go with the seem bellow the neckline, chin and ears. This to me is unexaptable when they have so Many other options. Reminds me of a hasbro toy. To me there is only one way to set her up and that's with the scarf cause i could not see that line in the middle of her neck. Would drive me ape S***

I don't really have an issue with a head joint. It adds more articulation and usually isn't that noticeable unless you're up close.

They did a great job with the neck joint on the Han Solo (young one) figure. You don't even see it. This one not so much.

Huh, hadn't noticed before but you're right. I'm not usually too bothered by visible joints, but having this one right in the middle of her neck does seem very odd and unnecessary. And very unlike HT.

PF sculpt is good, but the paint job is far too thick. Go HT Jyn, go!
