She looks great. If I only get one R1 figure it will be Jyn. Threw a couple safety orders in at BBTS for both versions but will decide once I see the movie.

I like the idea of standard and deluxe sets. Wouldn't have minded it with Rey/BB8. I will never use the scavenger gear as she wore it in the movie for like 30 seconds. I think she was in the resistance outfit longer.

Actually I think it's the other way around. Most of TFA Rey's in the scavenger outfit, and only at the end of the movie is she in the resistance outfit.


I bit the bullet and pre-ordered Jyn deluxe edition used my CW/BW 20 buck code for it. It does look cool I say.

She does look great. Really nailed the likeness. I put in safety orders for Deluxe Chirrut, Deluxe Jyn, and Deluxe Death Trooper on BBTS. Will know for sure whether I'm keeping them after the Movie. Also plan on putting one in for K-S20.

Saw that. There are low stock numbers on others as well. I wonder if HT is making substantially less of RO figures after the glut of TFA that are still available everywhere. Hopefully they haven't swung too far in the other direction so that everyone still has a chance at getting what they want.

This release looks great. I have yet to see a bad Hot Toys Star Wars figure tbh. I'm tempted to get Jyn but I didn't end up getting Rey either. I like the movies but not in a '240 EUR/movie' kind of way.

(And yes, I know that some will think: 'But you buy 5 figures (even 3 duplicates) from a movie like Suicide Squad. I can't help it.)

Ordered the Deluxe this morning from KG Hobby.

They seem to be stocking more HT these days.


I was thinking of getting two to display the two different looks, but for now I think I'll be content using all the extras apart from the poncho-coat.

Woah! Got my order in just in time! Should've put an order down for the regular too. Oh well. DX or bust! This is surely because TFA figures were overproduced. Time to make these collectibles limited again.

I'm really hoping RO turns out to be a damn good movie. If it's only ok, I'm keeping Vader and dumping the rest.

I'm guessing there will be plenty, I really can't see them changing production amounts SO drastically. I think stock for preorders on SSC is the real indicator. Either way, got my precautionary BBTS preorders in for all three deluxe figures. Order 'em all and let God sort 'em out!

Rey resistance outfit is probably the only TFA fig which sold out at pre-order IIRC. Yeah i think they went nuts with figures for TFA, made a whole lot. But concidering how SW is the new Iron Man golden cow for HT I doubt they will push back numbers on production.

He's still available for PO at Sideshow though, both versions. Perhaps BBTS knew they were only alloted a certain number of the run? I have a Ripley on preorder with BBTS, but i also did one thru sideshow.

Is pre-ordering through Sideshow a pretty solid guarantee? As long as your order is confirmed and your deposit goes, I know nothing is 100% guaranteed but as long as you're not on a wait list, how reliable is their order guarantee? I've never had one rescinded so I'm curious.

As the official distributor of HT I'm sure they've got numbers and sync stock with eshop. So if the item isn't on waitlist it's pretty much solid that you will get your figure.

Interestingly, they (BBTS) haven't sold out of preorders for Ripley at this point! No doubt probably going to be a cool response release despite the high hopes

ah gotcha. I don't display her with the headgear either, pretty much as she is with just the robes for most of the movie.

It just adds the rain/jungle battle gear, but the regular version outfit is underneath.
