Agree, Oddacon. I really liked her character and the movie. She's got chops. I'd pay $250 to stand next to her for a pic. I think she deserves the dough - outstanding artists deserve to be compensated. That said, close to $500 isnt easy to swallow for anyone.

Well it wasn't my intent to compare the acting of the two (Felicity and Sam Worthington). The point was that I wouldn't be totally surprised if her popularity wanes in a few years after coming off of the SW high. I of course wish her luck as an actress and hope that she sticks and has longevity, but I wouldn't be surprised if right now is her peak.

Aren't we getting Avatar 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 all shot at the same time starting like end of next year?

I don't think we've seen the last of Sam Worthlesston.:lol

I'm not sure what metric you're using though to measure her popularity. Autograph fee? Success in action movies? Of course this is her biggest role in those sorts of terms, and she'll never be in a higher grossing film ever unless she signs up to be an Avenger or something. But it's not like Star Wars movies have historically been great for an actor's career, so I don't think being in one can be considered some sort of pinnacle. I think Ewan McGregor has done much better work than his SW films for example.

Honestly, nothing more than simply a guess with mild basis on other actors that I can think of off the top of my head. Kevin Costner seemed to have his little string of movies in the late 80s to mid 90s before falling into obscurity, only to recently somewhat make a comeback when portraying Jonathan Kent in MoS. Mark Wahlberg seemed to have his little string of movies in the early 2000's before slipping into obscurity, recently making a bit of a comeback. Vin Diesel had his little run in the late 90s to mid 2000's, before basically now starring exclusively in Fast and Furious films as well as making sequels to his action roles from the early 2000's, and then as mentioned, Sam Worthington.

It's difficult to just make it into a leading movie role in Hollywood, but even more difficult to have longevity.

She's young, has already won a bunch of acting awards and getting bigger and better rolls. She will be around awhile. She will probably just being doing the artsy type films that most of use don't watch :lol

We paid to see the movie. That's their product. All promotion should be free. Pay a small fee to gain entrance to the event...sure because it costs money to rent he place. Pay for any merchandise you take home with you....sure, because it costs money to manufacture said products. Paying to meet the actors....no, you already got paid millions. They're just people, not gods!

Some music artists are starting to implement this business model. Pay for the concert, but get the album for free or on a donation basis.

Yeah, you think about all those public appearances of Vader and Fett at shopping malls etc back in the late 70's and 80's that were free (even Hamill at 1976 Comic Con,) and meant to generate ticket and merch sales. I know most of those wouldn't have been Prowse, Bulloch etc (not that they were major talent or anything), but they generally used parts of the screen-used costumes.

I think I'd rather see/touch the screen-used ESB Fett suit up close than get a pic with Jyn.

As a hockey fan, I'd personally be more apt to pay $450 for a photograph with and to be able to touch the Stanley Cup than a photograph with and an autograph from Jyn.

And you'd have the money to do it, since 90% of hockey players are nice enough to sign an autograph for you for free. The ones older than 23 years old anyway, the younger the athletes are getting these days, the more douchey they are becoming.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pay $450 for that either. I'd just be more apt to pay that price for that than a picture and autograph from Jyn. :lol

That is true though regarding many hockey players. I've met several NHL players and they've all been the nicest guys; happy to sign whatever you have for them and extremely appreciative of the fans and support of the team and the sport itself. This is corroborated by many other people also stating from what I've heard that hockey players seem to be the nicest guys out of any of the major professional sports leagues in North America and also seemingly the most articulate when giving interviews.

Hmmmmm.

As far as her pricing goes, I think Topps has a lot to do with it. They are in charge of Star Wars Authentics, the official autograph company for the franchise. All of the major stars are about $300 for a signed 8x10. They try to justify the prices by putting a sticker on it as a COA. At Celebration, they'll put the sticker on right after she signs the photo, and the photo op is done professionally, not just with your phone. It looks like her autograph tickets are sold out now, but the photo op and combo are still available. I'm still waiting for the schedule to release so I can decide if I can meet her and see the Rebels panel, both happen Saturday only.

If I had tons of money, I'd sure pay to have a professionally shot photo next to that talented supercutie.

I'm also still hoping HT reveals her Imperial Disguise version at the con.

HT hasn't been at any celebrations in the past. Sideshow has a big booth, but there have never been any HT reveals, just whatever has already been announced.

Does anyone know if HT does anything more than in the yearly Catalogue that they bring out ? I had a quick look at previous years and it doesn't look like it.

That being said, a few of the announced Rogue One figures are due out in early 2018, so there is theoretically the chance that a couple more Rogue One figures make it into the 2018 catalogue. But I know that's a long shot !
