Could we mod the hair ever-so-slightly as to have it lift up from her temples a bit more? I see that little difference that "changes" the way her eyebrows appear. Little detail, big difference.

Heating it up just enough to morph it?

Sorry guys, not really buying some of the logic going on here. So it's a coincidence it looks pretty much exactly the same as the prototype of the disguise version but very different than the prototype of this version?

We've seen both versions in various lighting (even the same lighting at the same cons) and never has the original prototype suddenly looked like the disguise version to me.

Exactly. Most of us had no problem recognizing from the start that this was the disguise head, which had a slightly different look to it than the proto. So clearly something had been changed so that we could pick it out so easily.

Eh, this looks to be kind of the same case with TFA Finn.

Prototype looked to be nearly spot on, but the sculpt got reworked and the production one, while still good, lost likeness that wasn't due to paint apps just looking a bit softer (which is usually expected).

The cheeks on the production sculpt look to be a bit more sunken in than they do on the prototype. The puffier cheeks of the prototype in my opinion are more recognizable as FJ.

Widen the hair sculpt for the puffier cheeks!

I dunno. I'm waiting on in hand shots. The lighting on those two above is different. One is wearing a shawl. It changes the way they look.

Maybe there are differences in paint app too. Apparently all these little things working together make it look different.

So long as it is the same sculpt I think it'll be fine in hand.

A lot of ado about nothing.......

No, that's not it.
Not fully, but I'm an artist, too. It can make a difference.

Thank you.

Its a blessing and a curse. You always notice the subtle differences.

Great sketch Wes ! It's interesting that on this one (unlike Jedi Luke) they didn't go for the teeth. Where for Felicity Jones it's a bit of a trademark look for her. Still perhaps they did that and thought no, doesn't look as good without ???

Will be looking for a review Sithlord13 !! Or at least some decent pics in real light perhaps. Reckon you could do that ? Unfortunately mine comes later. I'm cheap so have to wait on the normal batch.

My guess is that this, along with a number of other fantastic sculpts that get inexplicably changed to something inferior, are the result of internal politics (favoritism, seniority, etc.) at the company. I mean, it really is the only logical explanation in my mind.

Ha yeah, the one sculpt of theirs where visible teeth would have been totally appropriate, and this time they don't bother.

All I know is that I'm really jealous of the people who can see enough of Felicity in that face to be happy with it. I really wanted to get this figure.

Will do. At least some pictures I really hope it's one of those that look great in hand chase felicity is too hot to.not have a decent sculpt

I'm sure it probably started out from the same sculpt, but I still see lips that are thinner and shaped differently now and cheeks that are a bit less puffy. So they definitely made some tweaks, and I really don't think it's just a matter of the lighting or paint work.

Whatever they did or didn't do though, one of these is a whole lot more instantly recognizable as Felicity Jones than the other, which is all that really matters to me in the end.

Yeah, that's where I'm at. Maybe it changed shape during production but end of the day it looks less like Felicity Jones than it did originally.

To me, this is as much a change as Finn, where again was that sculpt warpage or a resculpt? In the end it doesn't matter.

Its up to good God-damned review videos in 1080p. Where the heck are they!?!?
