Not really a thing that happens anymore. Hot Toys has reduced their production quantities by quite a bit. It's why a lot of preorders hit waitlist now before it even releases.

It's a great likeness of the older Christensen, but I have to agree that the expression is a weird one and doesn't work with the majority of poses you'd want to put him in.

But I never liked this outfit anyway so this is one Ahsoka figure I would have passed on regardless.

Yeah this expression works fine for a ROTJ Han figure, but not so much for Anakin.

interestingly enough, at some angles, he also resembles Matt Lanter who does the voice of TCW Anakin.

I don't mind the expression though since I'm a museum poser type collector. I don't really care that this one isn't "action ready". It's unique and not just the Artisan or AOTC sculpt with new hair. I feel like it also works with the sort of sometimes carefree/playful nature that early TCW Anakin had

Agreed. Now, one can only hope the eventual sculpted hair ROTS version has hair sculpted as well as this that rooted doesn't necessarily need to be an option in order to achieve that extra bit of realism.

I just want those Lightsaber deflecting effects for the Anakin I have. Does anybody make/sell those custom?

It's definitely a neat effect that has been missing from Jedi/Sith figures. Sad that they've only now added them in and will probably be a staple addition to most if not all new Jedi/Sith releases going forward.

I think the one they’re emulating is from when Ahsoka said something about the Clone Wars and Anakin turned around and quipped that they were in it.

I like this a lot. When I saw this over on Reddit I thought it was a picture of Hayden Christensen at first so that’s good IMO. I have Clone Wars Anakin so I’m not too sure if I would pick this up but I may grab the headsculpt if nothing else.

I don't know...maybe he just had a weekend pass away from the war with Padme and he's just back and refreshed.

Looks great! disappoint that my figure is so far behind this one. I wish hot toys would do more expressions. Would help with their mace windu sculpt
