1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars: Episode III ROTS - Kit Fisto Collectible Figure

Looks good. Can finally update the Sideshow fig. I don’t need to upgrade all the SS aliens as many are perfectly serviceable, but hopefully this means more SW aliens and creatures are coming from HT—Aayla Secura, Ackbar, Bib Fortuna, Jar Jar, Darth Talon, Oola, etc. and a Rancor.

I think I will stick with my Sideshow version, as although not entirely accurate it has a nice blend of Jedi tabard colors which breaks up the constant Jedi Brown in the collection. Also, since it’s an alien I don’t feel I need the improved eye/skin detail.

Definitely in for an Aayla Secura though with seamless arm(s). My Sideshow one is in the mix for the Geonosis rescue mission, but is hiding towards the back.

The only issue I have with the sideshow one is the size of the head sculpt. It’s just way too oversized and was a problem other SSc SW figures suffered from. They were nice for the time especially when you consider the price ($50-$70…my LORD it was an awesome time ). But it;s definitely worth upgrading IMO.

Though…I wish HT would stop being petty a******s and start offering TWO GD portraits. One neutral and one expression’d. Jedi are already light on accessories. Two headsculpts isn’t too much to ask for.

Awesome, Kit is my favorite Jedi so I am so stoked for this!!
I will say I wish he included a left grip hand if only so we could recreate his wielding two sabers against Grievous... But I'm happy regardless

Its so dumb not to include that. So we just can't put the saber in his other hand?

I don’t know why Hot Toys is cheaping out on things like pairs of hands recently. Especially for saber welding characters they should have both hand options.

I mean I get it, but hands I would think shouldn’t be that much of a cost for them. It’s just kind of odd.

Lately, they’ve been exclusively referring to costume screen test/promotional images and in those images, there isn’t a single image of him holding the saber with the left hand. Perhaps that’s why they didn’t include it? Shouldn’t be an excuse, but this is HT we’re talking about. Like Brooklyn said, they love to take short cuts and the easy way out if they can.

In the film, the only time where he does is when he gets slashed, but it’s out of focus, which probably excused HT from having a good frame of reference

Exactly, one would think it shouldn’t cost them much…and they’ve repeated this omission across SO MANY of their figures, let alone Jedi, characters that already lack in accessories. Which of course begs the question, couldn’t they have added a few more hands to at least give the ILLUSION a Jedi has plenty of accessories?

Not that different where it matters to give him two gripping hands. I tend to go with two hands holding the saber in most of my poses. Guess I’ll have to change it up for Mace and Fisto.

I’m only offering a theory as to why they didn’t include it since they based it off the promotional images from Episode III. And even when he’s fighting the Chancellor, he doesn’t grip the saber with both hands.

So I'm not a fan of Stars Wars, but I still think Kit Fisto is kind of cool. It's just a shame it's a damn Jedi. For me, only Dahrt Sidious and Dahrt Maul come into question.

But seriously the Kit Fisto doesn't get much attention in the Star Wars series. But he seems to be an interesting character in the comics and has an exciting story. I was told.

I still have the Sideshow one, it looks good, but it's so top heavy it just kept plopping over on the loose-limbed body, so back in the box.

This one looks like a good upgrade, and I'd wager the head will be rendered a lot more lightweight (hope so anyway).
Interesting that it's being pegged as an ROTS release, but no packaging mention. Will we get Saesee Tinn and Agen Kolar to round out the arrest scene?
Probably not. May see Barris Offee since she's being featured in those girl-Sith cartoons. Aayla? Doubtful, unless they featured her on the Ahsoka or WW body with those exposed limbs.

Anyway...we're finally getting Kit! He'll look great on the shelf.
