Looks very nice.

I think I like the TFA costume better though. This one does look like he'd be more agile in it though.

I think the likeness is spot on. Also I think the design of the guards is great. They went back to the basic samurai design that was the inspiration for the (Darth Vader) costumes.

Same here. I likes what's shown so far.

The guards are growing on me. It's cool to have some fresh new designs in this universe, I gotta admit. It is what it is. It's canon & we gotta deal. Be happy we are getting all of this in the first place. :yess:

How this sequel trilogy is shaping up is waaaay better than no sequel trilogy at all. It's fun.

:rock Yep...yep, yep.

With great Kylo comes great drama.

There is something slightly off about the sculpt to me but i can't figure out what it is. With that said, if i can get the sculpt parted out I will. I prefer the outfit from the prior movie so i will be skipping this.

I am still undecided on the guards. I will have to see how they play out in the movie.

I feel like you and I are the only two people in the thread that like it lol.

I wonder when we'll get a Rey announcement.

Yeah haha there's a few of us it seems. We're the underdogs, or should I say the Resistance.

Gotta see their new Rey figures indeed. Hopefully the likeness is even better this time around, and the scale as well.

Also, I believe I see all three versions of the Guards teased in these pictures. These two show the three, with the one on the right staying the same in both pics:

"It doesn't look 'Star Wars' to me"

These people crack me up. We're talking about a galaxy with countless planets, species and cultures, and yet when we see a new style, a new design, a new fabric, they declare that it's "not Star Wars" because it doesn't exactly replicate the sliver of this galaxy we've been shown on screen thus far.

It's like if an alien watched a bunch of cowboy westerns, and then declared the people in the kung fu flick don't look "earth" enough.

Or expecting that we should all still be dressing like it's the 90s (ie, the generational gap between the OT and ST). XD

Great point and great post!!!

Hate to say it. Im keeping my TFA Kylo.

Totally, honestly i miss the hood. The cape is ok i guess. Need to see it in action. May pick up the sculpt. As for those guards. Fat suit removal time for sure!

There isn't a 'there is something off about the sculpt, I can't quite put my finger on it' post yet? :)

Not to bash the Praetorian guards but seriously- Would you rather have 2 of those or 2 or the Emperors Guards?
I look at in terms of what I can spend and priorities. sorry.

kneeling with the lightsaber like its a physical sword...interesting

Wouldn't it just cut right through the floor? I hope he doesn't do this often or the construction crew is gonna get pissed. Then again, they probably follow him around with a full contingency fixing all the stuff he breaks, anyway.

Well lightsaber resistant metal has been used before in SW EU.

And FO made the demonstration current technology can anihilate lightsaber advantage as seen in Takodana Finn's duel

Release time frame?

Well put. Disney/Lucasfilm are in the perfect *******ed if you do and *******ed if you don't situation. Follow too closely the original designs and your lazy, give some freedom to your creative team and you're drifting away from the Star Wars "codes".

Now it's up to HTs to actually release all 3 and not do what they did with the RO Shore troopers. I do seriously hope they do a two pack that includes the 3rd helmet and not make us buy 3 single figures.

Something seems off with the sculpt. Though Driver looks like he lost weight between 7 and 8? I do prefer his TFA look better.

To me it's about aesthetics. Outfits that look good and would make good figures.

What we see with the lobster guards isn't necessarily something new in the universe, but it's far more in your face Japanese than Vader's samurai inspired helmet.

The guards look Japanese Kendo inspired with the skirt and grill shaped masks. One's holding a pseudo shinai, and the other a naginata. Maybe a design coincidence but there's been an upsurge in samurai (and even Kendo) sixth scale over the past year.

I don't get it either. It does look like SW, painfully so. what I find funny are all the people that made fun and shunned GL for his "it's like poetry, it rhymes" mentality with the PT, yet give this crap a compete pass. Matching Kylo/anakin scars, red guards, bald and scared "emperor"s, planet destroying space stations, wanted droids with stolen info, yoda/maz, Jedi masters on secluded planets, etc etc etc etc...talk about rhymes! LFM have become Dr. Suess.

And I'm not even saying that, myself, really, it's just an observation. I'm ambivalent towards this ST. I'll watch it, like I do all the MCU films, but it'll just be a 3/5 to me. Something that's just there. I'm just hopeful that there will be more Rogue Ones and Winter Soldiers in the future SW filmography and less TFAs and Iron Man 3s.

What I like about Kylo is that he represents a proper telling of the privileged yet tormented young Jedi that Lucas botched with Anakin in the prequels. No need for a Hayden Christensen figure especially with this guy as an alternative.

Looks like they did another bang up job too.
