This has been a real shot in the arm for my collecting life. I just ripped a great doc off Youtube about the history of Daredevil which you can see here in 9 parts:

I just spent $90 last week on a Bernthal Punisher sculpt and will spend another $100+ to have it painted. Needless to say I'm slightly irritated lol

I know it was cancelled, but I seriously hope that they'll make a Peggy Carter. I just...

Yeah, I'm still really excited about this. Unexpected and brilliant news. I thought the closest we'd get to this version of the Punisher would be a Shane figure from threezero

I dont have netflix but my friend keeps telling me how amazing season 2 was, I guess I gota catch season 1 on amazon. Il pick up both if I can just because they look great in the show. I hope this means they pick up more tv show characters. Any one know if the season might release on bluray?

When, NOT IF, this line is a success, it'll pave the road to other Tv properties...a road HT should've been exploring a long time ago.

Right now it's just to early to spin this into other tv shows. Especially shows like supergirl or aos or carter that where all nearly canceled this year. None of those shows have major access to outside of North America audiences, like with the Netflix shows. And there was a purposeful push by marvel entertainment to get product made specifically for the Netflix programming and they created an in house task force/sales team to push the idea of licensing to already established partners of marvel. None of the other broadcast programs have that going for them at the moment. If, and yes it's still if, the figures from the shows do well it will encourage expansion into other markets. But given it can take over a year to even produce these figures, and the broadcasts shows are up for cancelation nearly every year that presents another problem. That's part of why tv shows have never been big merchandise sellers in the history of licensing.

Even back when hot toys had a very limited portfolio and tried tv figures with prison break it was done when prison break had a 2 season pick up that way they knew the show wouldn't be off the air when they finally released the figures.

The DC side has even more of this to contend with. If they start making a flash figure and the show gets canned and right at that time the new DC flash movie comes out they will have a tonto or Zod type situation where they can't give the figures away.

Marvel and the Netflix shows have a multi season deal with guaranteed upcoming appearances. It's really a completely different situation, and it still took marvel forming an in house pitch team to get its 5 year running licensing top company award winner to try it.

Hey ya never know. Even though DD is getting a line of figures, you still gotta keep expectations in check. The first coulson son of coul wasn't a big seller...so personally speaking I can't imagine an updated version will sell much better. As for the other characters...well, ask yourself this, do you honestly think their designs are compelling enough for a figure?

HT are no doubt re-dipping their toes into the pool. It's been a long time coming, And quite frankly it's wise of them to do DD first. AoS has been on a little longer than DD...however nothing within that show screams for an action figure y'know what I mean?

I really hope Fisk wouldn't just be a regular figure with extra padding... If him and Daredevil are the same height, something is way off. Fisk looks down on both Matt and Frank.

Since HT unashamedly recycles parts for their releases, all they gotta do is slap Fisk's HS on darth vaders body, boom problem solved.

I hope they make an Elektra. She is drop dead gorgeous and the two have great chemistry. I liked their first meet-up in the boxing ring. I think that was a little bit of a wink at the Affleck/Garner DD vs. Elektra playground fight/dance/ballet.

I think these would be pretty compelling enough IMO.But I also believe AOS doesn't have as big of an audience as the Netflix shows.But hey one can dream! I'm happy we're getting TV figures
