Hi All

Dorgmal Snow - Mark awesome first go on the belt and holster buddy. As for small pins and the like try a doll shop or a where they sell dolls parts etc they always have great stuff.

And if that doesn't work Rogerbee suggestions is also another great idea I have used pins on a few of my customs.

Practically everything on my Die Hard rig is done with pins, it's a work of art, almost too good to be on that VTS Bruce!

I haven't actually asked Murray what a complete Raiders rig would cost. I might ask him if I need one.

Oh yeah,

I may have hit a slight snag with the Ezio body, the lower portion of the leg where the ankle cup is looks to be longer than on a standard TT. You can see what I mean here:

If Indy proves to be too tall, I'll just have to use the lower legs from my existing TT, so I'd better be careful with it!

A constant work in progress...getting closer. I still want to try a molded neck body and different hands.
For sure:
Change the pants belt so the buckle is more in scale.
Want to replace Whip, gun belt and holster eventually.
Replace the rest of the shirt buttons.
I would love one of Kato's custom jackets...some day.

With some elbow grease, you should be able to remove those ankle extensions. Visually test the height without them first.

It'd be easer to take the leg apart at the knee and put the other lower legs on. When Jeff Parker reviewed him he wasn't photographed with any other figures so you couldn't judge height.

If it's taller than a narrow then the length of his pants will look off.

Nice Indy by the way, which sculpt is that?

Medicom with a little re-painting.
This was about 85% done paint-wise. I like the fact that you can remove the hat.

Really!? It's dead on, probably the best KOTCS sculpt I've seen. Someone on here repainted their Henry and it looked amazing.

When I got my Ezio body I thought it made Indy look too tall so I did exactly what you suggested- swapped the lower leg with a regular TT.

Disaster. So I got the Sideshow ROTLA figure a few days ago and went to strip the head (the one with the fedora) with acetone as usual. Unfortunately the vinyl itself started to peel on the face and hat both immediately. I have seen vinyl heads start to wear/tear after being worked on for too long, but this went bad almost as soon as the first wave of paint came off.

So before I consider buying a whole new figure, does anyone here have a duplicate fedora head they would be willing to sell.

Dorgmal, regarding tiny rivets look for the "nailheads" they use for rhinestoning clothing. Here's one in the UK:

Also consider using sewing pin head with the pin shaft snipped off

Yeah, acetone can do that. I use non acetone based nail polish remover, it's great to use and doesn't seem to harm the vinyl. If there's anything stubborn, I coat the head with Oxy spot cream, leave it overnight then strip again with the remover and repeat as necessary till everything is removed. Butcher's mutton cloth (Often found as a polishing cloth at auto supply stores.) is good to use for stripping, it's not abrasive like say a scotch pad can be.

I think Dorgmal is taking casts of a hat head, perhaps you could ask him about one.

ow nice KOTCS Indiana. The legs should come off ok Roger I am sure I have swapped them out in the past, but I know how scary that first pull of the leg is!!!

StarPuffs, ahhh magic stuff my good lady! I will get hold of some of those for sure. As for the KOTCS sculpt! Well I bought that figure off ebay but its been lost in the UK postal system :( but if I can get hold of one I will cast you up a head, dont go buying a complete new figure!!!!!!

I did try it with my Slim as soon as I realised and was relieved when they came off and went back on again without breaking. Are those extensions a particular feature for that body? I'm not sure the Goemon Saizo had them, but those bodies are rare!

I used the Goemon body for mine... well part of it anyway ;)

Frankensteined this together and I'm quite happy with the proportions.Just waiting to get a decent headsculpt that I'm happy with to use.

The Goemon body had normal ankle sockets, it's just the Ezio ones which are extended. The easiest way to get the leg to come out is to use a screwdriver and wedge it in the gap between the bottom of the knee and the lower leg at the back, then gently lever the leg away from the knee joint. Just pulling it can put extra stress on the upper knee joint- I've broken one by doing that before!

Thanks guys!

I did see a Goemon one on eBay but it was way more than I paid for the Ezio. I'm beginning to see why they're cheap now!

I used an ezio body as well and I just swapped legs with a standard narrow. I also switched forearms too because ezio has slim forearms.

I was tempting fate a bit here, I tried again later and promptly snapped the knee! However, it did bring something up that I wasn't aware of. On normal TT's you can pop the lower leg off at the knee like you can the upper one. You can't do this on a slim, the hole for the peg won't allow for it. They put the peg in one half of the lower leg then they joined the lower leg together! In order to fully repair the knee you have to crack the lower leg open again. I'll have a spare set of knees when the Ezio gets here so I can fix it.

I have made a start on stripping Indy's head. There's not much to strip really as what paint is there is really thin. The stubble is a bit stubborn, but I've coated the head with Oxy and will try again tomorrow.

All your customs made me want to get cracking with mine, so I did!
