Today I removed the eyeliner and this is my Indy after that. Hot Toys head, body and holster, Sideshow clothes and Newline boots:

Also I'm waiting for HT jacket, shirt and belt to arrive. I'll post some more pics then...

Much better dude!
It's a very tiny detail, but what a difference does it make...
mine doesn't look as good yet... I might need to sand it a bit, the scraping had me terrified... :horror!

:lol!

Thanks! Yeah, I had to go back a second time to fix it. White-knuckling.

I used an exacto, but I ended up tearing into the vinyl eyelid because its so thin. It was slight, but it then left this fleck of vinyl sticking up that I couldn't remove. I have a thin metal sanding tool that I remembered and managed to smooth it out. Then to make certain it looked even, I did slight painting on the top of the lids. That's all. All my trouble was on the right eye. Left eye went fine.

But after this hell, I do think he looks a lot better. Such a slight thing....

I love this shot:

Your Indy looks great. If you get the opportunity, get some HT boots, they really are superb.

I've got a Dremel style electric tool, it has some small ball shaped grinders/files. Thing they'd do the job of taking some plastic off the inside of the eye socket out ?.

Yikes! A serious tool? I think it would eat too much. Unless you are very skilled with this.

But do you want to remove stuff from inside the eye? That's different than what I did. I just wanted the eyeliner gone. The dark paint on the top of the bottom eyelid. That's all I did.

Ha thanks! I did post a disclaimer saying you were on your own if you did this mod.

Lawton: Personally I think you'd be asking for trouble if you stick a dremel into the eye sockets. In my experience Dremels can have a tendency to heat up the plastic and you might find you are battling melted plastic burr in the sockets and eye openings.

Christ alive that picture is astounding !, what a huge difference a small change can make, the mod brings out more Ford in the sculpt, side by side it's shocking just how it effect the look of the face !.

One other thing guys: while I had the eyes out, I heated up the sculpt with a hairblower. Maybe, just maybe, this put the sculpt back to its original shape -- just a hair -- because it does seem more Ford-like now. I also squeezed the jawline while it cooled but its shape has more to do with the PERS mechanism.

Anyway, that may well be one other slight bonus.

That's an interesting side effect. So do you think if I blast the head with an industrial heat gun flame thrower it will help the sculpt become more Ford like??:lol

Great mod, Wor! Much better this way! I'm wondering though if you really do need to sand/slice off the eyeliner? What if you had just done a wash over it to lighten it?

I mentioned this in the image thread, but what about using a pencil eraser? I took an exacto knife to an eraser so as to make a point and used it to removed the weathering on a statue I have. Just curious.

Yes, I said that a few pages back, definitely just PAINT! No need to scrape. I hated scraping. Got lucky that it came out so well.

I have no idea about eraser pencils.

One more MOD for today, the infamous SOVEREIGN jacket... this has been like a lost grail for me for many years but a kindly ol' boardmember showed me the way.

Hot Toys jacket.................................................Sov jacket
