Personally I wouldn't touch it.

1) No actual picture of the product. (That I could see, but I'm on a slow network on my phone, maybe there are some that won't load for me?)

2) if the hilt is 2" long! It ain't in scale with a 1:6 figure!!!

3) Fan made (read as crap)

4) Nearly $40! :horror

If anyone has bought one of these, and they are cool please correct me, but without seeing one, I'd steer clear.

All just IMHO :D

Yeah, scale worries me too, but it doesnt look of scale on the pics?
Also, how easy would it be to mod it for wires, better of with a wired version from the start.

edit: maybe im just better of modding the sword that comes with the figure.

i thought there was already a thread about this somewhere? somebody shows a comparison between this saber and the SS saber. it's got more info and pics.

Indeed, it's right here:

Hi!
I got it from ebay 'KingsToys store' at US$32 (including shipping)
the scale is alittle larger than as compared to the SS version.
Maybe it's looks more like a Episode III saber??

no wires, it's uses 2 x LR521 cell battery.
Rotate the hand grip to 'on' like some touches do.
It's not as bright compare to mod cathode sabers, after all it's LED with lightpipe. but it's good enough for me :chew

There are multiple threads here that show how to make a better one. Katkuru I believe started them so you could PM him and ask as I believe he was also selling them. I wouldn't touch this saber as it's unclear what batteries are used, the one in Vader's hand looks different than the one pictured beneath it and he says "dolls not included."

I'll steer clear of them just because they call my beloved action figures "dolls".

Hmmm I take it back, does look pretty good. But I think Nams right, Katkuru's Cathode sabers are better.

I just got one of these from qstoysandcollectibles here on this forum. I'll let you know how it is when I get it in hand.

I like the brightness of the cathode better too, but I never liked the wire running down the blade nor the necessity of being 'wired'. I'm giving this a try because its all housed within the saber.

Thanks for all the tips!
I found some very nice cathodes on ebay, so im thinking of going the the cathode path. If you use ultra thin wires for fixing broken PCB's you will hardly see the wires anyway .

But... The 1/6 sabers I found on ebay are only sold by US sellers who are unwilling to send outside of the US :/

Do you guys know where I can find 1/6 sabers that ship to Sweden? Darth Vader EP4 if possible (Its for the Sideshow Darth Vader EP4 figure).

Do you have links to these ebay listings?

Ive seen those same sabers for $26.00 with free shipping on ebay,I would do more a bit of checking around. They actually come in a really funny generic retail package because they are obviously unlicensed.

I never checked but I bet battery replacement is expensive, and im sure they come with super low quality batteries, same as all knock off Hong Kong products come with.

Huh? The Sideshow one is just a hair over 2"...like 2 1/32" Granted, even the Sideshow one is too large as the actual prop was a little under 11" I think in 1:1 scale. But it works fine since their entire Vader figure is over-scale :p

I persuaded a US seller on ebay to ship to Sweden so now I got two sabers for 11.5 + shipping and handling. Ok price i think. The cathode will cost me 10 dollars including shipping.. so maybe 25 dollars in total plus 150 dollars in lost income because I have to work on the saber instead of working with stuff that generate money...:lol

Your right. Inches confuse the hell outta me I'm a good European and all metric - Unless I'm driving, then it all goes back to miles per hour, or heights of people in which case suddenly feet and inches seem so obvious.

Heck. I'm one mixed up A**hole.
