I just found this thread though I had heard about Autobotjohn from around the forum. That Fortress of Solitude and Superman made me come up with a great Elseworlds story--what if Kal-El's spaceship crashed and he was rescued by a bunch of homeless crack addicts who slept in tents made out of duct tape, styrofoam and bic pens. Supes' Fortress would definitely have that kind of aesthetic if that were true.
