Well mine arrived after spending three weeks in customs, which seemed a longer stretch than the year since the pre-order!

So I will say that I knew what to expect from the figure right out of the box on account of having followed this thread, so I wasn't too bothered by It's dwarflike stature, because I was convinced that a bodyswap or the joint extension method used by Skullknight would work well. I opted to use an old sideshow freddy body that I had lying around from which I had pulled the head off, which Is quite slim and lanky and I managed to swap It without too much bother. I'm pleased to report that I think It looks amazing. The figure now has presence and stature, and as can be seen in this case, almost goes toe to toe with a predator for size.

I'll add that one of the kneepads was detached from his knee right out of the box, so I went ahead and pulled the other one off, and along with the cape clasps which I swapped for bronze tacks, and having dispensed with the fur, I think I'm finding a better balance between the ornate and the more spartan comic look.

I still have a few things to do, I haven't even attached the ankles yet because the pegs are incompatible, but overall this figure can really work providing a few tweaks are made.

Looks great! Nice work.

Looks cool!

I also like the sword you added, I want to get one like that for my Baron Zemo figure
Thanks i like adding abit of my own lore to the character like He don't need the sword but he keep it as a trophy from the previous tyrant who ordered his murder death and carry it as a reminder.
Yes it a must for Zemo he just his blade.

So about an hour ago I removed the fur covering his shoulders. I tried to be careful but the gold discs fell off his chest (the connection was very delicate), any suggestions as to how to put the discs and chain back on?

When it happened to mine I just glued the disc back on.

I recommend using a thin bendy wires to loop it in the gold medallions and poke a hole with the bendy wires to secure it then twist the bendy wire to tighten the hold of the golden medallion.
I used this method.
You can also get a small thin magnets glue it on the chest and the mediation not the simple method
I wouldn’t recommend the glue as it can get messy and ruined the fabric tunic

I only used a tiny dab as a quick fix at the time, rather than taking the tunic off. But it's stayed on and is holding the chain, so haven't needed to do anything more intensive.

Ok, here is mine without the fur now …

Today I decided to add a little foam underneath a couple of the armor pieces on his arm bk on my figure they have a tendency to migrate down on his biceps and forearms. Now they seem to be staying put (so far).

I know that we will see Doom soon in the MCU, so that means that a Dr Doom figure from Hot Toys is imminent. IMO Hot toys does fantastic work with armored figures so I have no doubt they will produce something great.

However, I am really enjoying this figure a lot and it will take a great design from Marvel along with great execution by Hot Toys, to make me replace this S-Hero Doom figure from my collection.

I adjusted the armor so that the gaps between his armor are lessened, can’t really get rid of them totally if you want to him to still have mobility.

Done messing with him now (I think) …
