I like the white. Keeps him looking like a comicbook character.

Price is lame. I would have thought there were too many lefties on Sideshow's staff to be catering exclusively to the trust fund allowance kids.

More than I would have liked, but i'm still going to buy this as I'm a huge diehard punisher fan. I'll paint the gloves and boots black though :)

I agree, I'll probably get him because I too am diehard Punisher...I'll probably just whiten the skull on the shirt more to go along with the gloves and boots...I'll figure out some way to whiten the shoulder gear and belt...I'd like to do the white ammo pouches at the center of the belt, that act as the bottom half of the skull I guess so to speak...But I havent figured out how to work that yet...It'll take some customizing, like ALL SS figures, but I'm sure people will be able to get a really nice looking Punisher out of this....Even at a $240.00 price tag...My biggest gripe is the weapons he comes with...

I didn't think I was a diehard fan, but then I look at the Punisher stuff I own... started reading Punisher again the moment I found Garth Ennis writing him, got the omnibus and the collected Max series, as I loved the Preacher, and his run on the Punisher was on form and one of my top reads. Years before that, I read the War Journals especially liked those with Jim Lee and Wolverine. Currently stopped for the collected editions to grow and um... toys... picking up Avenger and Revenger (missed Saves) in my reading break, but am looking forward to Jason Aaron's run eventually (enjoyed his Scalped).

So I think I should want this.

Oh yeah and loved the 89 Punisher movie! Always wanted Ken Wahl from Wiseguy to be a movie Punisher though.

I wish this series was based on either actual comic book or movie designs, and not merely Sideshow's own dodgy interpretations.

The Punisher they teased looked far more like a comic book appearance:

But they seem to be throwing everything at these figures with little regard to the final look. Maybe that's down to licensing restrictions?

I originally had big hopes for their Doctor Doom... :(

Should have gone the Mezco One:12 route and picked specific runs/artists to base the figures off of. If Sideshow do a 'comic' Iron Man I'd bet money they'll do some generic amalgamation of different suits, rather than doing something that hasn't been done well before like the Model 17 modular armour...

I wish there was a box to pick which color gloves you want when ordering this. I would buy a black gloves/boots version. I will not be getting it with white gloves.

Just preordered this at a discount through alterego. I personally don't mind the price - I sold off 98% of my hot toys collection in anticipation for this (very slow to come) line. However, I really sincerely don't get how, in comparison to deadpool, this figure has SO MUCH LESS and costs a significant bit more. If they think they can get $X amount for a figure from a line, that's fine, I just don't understand the sizeable inconsistency in load out vs. price between the two. As plenty of us have said, this figure'd make sense at $180 when compared to deadpool, but, whatever, bought. that's really the bottom line, isn't it?

i also think that DP pricing should be around 180$. but hey everyone happy with their DP right?

Nice that the skull is on the shirt as well as the vest so you can display either way. The all-black Punisher look is kind of boring and more like the movies, I like that they've changed it up a bit with the white. I think the compromise between the idiotic comic book 70s and a more modern look works really well.
The leather work on the belt and accessories is excellent - it's getting more realistic with every release. Lots of cool accessories too with tons of hands.

Too bad there aren't 1/6 weapons in abundance if you wanted more traditional weapons...oh wait, there are.

Sure there are weapons available but at $240, that hardly softens the blow to the wallet. With most parted out weapons going anywhere from $5-$50, this could easily be a $300+ figure.

And with SSCs track record of hits & misses...
