Where is that short sleeved shirt from? I'd love to pick one up.

Looks like a repainted AF Avenger shirt.
Nevermind, after looking at it at a better resolution it looks like a custom painted skull on a black shirt.
However, the Avenger shirt would still work.

Is every one getting theirs from Sideshow? reason I ask I still have two more flex pays to go , ( only arriving October )
and did anyone get the option to "pay out" their remaining flex pays in one lump sum to move the shipping date forward ?

Also OMG that re-paint is stunning, That's what I was paying my money for that is beautiful.

Thanks. With your help I was able to find one on ebay. My Barney Ross maybe Going this route as well. It's a great modern take on Mr. Castle.

Why is he so tan?! I mean, nothing against that, but on Punisher or seems weird.

Good:

The overall figure works, i'm more forgiving because of my love of the character so your mileage may vary.

The amount of weapons and hands.

Skull came out much better than I expected.

Head sculpt. Yes the head is slightly dark, whatever, i'm not going to hold that against the overall figure, it doesn't ruin him, he just looks tanned, it happens humans tan lol. My wife said I bought a latino Punisher lol. It's still no Hot Toys quality mind you, maybe 80%-85% there.

Bad:

The magnets that are supposed to hold the straps closed on the rear ammo pouches are held on with little glue, both of my magnets arrived already fallen off from their straps, very hard to glue back on because of their sizes without possibly ruining the figure with glue, my hand shakes too much!

Again another glue problem, the belt clip on the smaller knife sheath came right off as I went to use it!

This glue problem wouldn't be acceptable at a $100 price point, at $240.00 it is an absolute disgrace, something so small can really ruin your feeling on your purchase.

For now my ammo pouch straps are floating in the wind, the knife clip I was able to glue back on.

You've all been warned what to watch out for now!

The sleeve cuffs at the wrist look sloppy. You have to keep futzing to tuck them into the gloves but not an easy task.

No ankle articulation that I found as of yet.

Biggest Pleasant Surprise:

His trademark lower skull teeth visual seperation which mimics gun clips.

You need to use the vest to get this illusion.

It came out much better than I was expecting, it's one of my favorite design elements of the character so I was bummed that he wasn't going to have that be so prominent.

What a very pleasant surprise it was to see it be so visible, they hit a homerun there.

Regarding why I have his arms splayed out like that it's because I wanted to use both the vest and his gun shoulder straps at the same time.

If you look at all of his production photos he's not wearing both at once.

The arm pit gun holsters have metal pieces that will dig into his arm pit and possibly damage his costume if you put the vest over the shoulder straps.

So I placed his gun shoulder straps over his vest. Still not a great solution (it's somewhat tight) because no matter how one does it if you're going to use both at once you're limiting his arms range of motion going towards his body.

I hate not using an accessory lol.

Ok, so my overall score:

The actual product: 8.0/10.00 (I was going to award it a 7.5 but the skull surprise bought it another half point :lol)

The value: 7.0/10.00 (No glue on strap magnets and clips makes this hurt more than it should. Honestly for me this is a $200.00 product but Your Mileage May Vary. I would understand why some would argue it should be slightly over $200.00 or slightly under $200.00 or some would argue (Sideshow CEO) that he's exactly what he should be lol.

Sure for $35.00 more dollars you can get yourself an 18" Hot Toys Hulk, but whatever...it's The Punisher Yo! Not many 1/6 options with this character so one takes what they can get.

Thanks for your review! How is the articulation? How do the joints feel?

Very good review. The highs, the lows, detailed but not too long, admitted own bias for the character.

Thanks for writing. But im still waiting for HT to do Berenthal before deciding.

Thanks for the review

Anytime. :hi5:

Good enough.

What you would expect in this day and age, his costume does not get in the way although if you use his vest it slightly hingers head movement but not by much.

But his ankles have none that I can find.
