1/6 SSC Snake Plissken Figure

Ohay, got it, and it's bad! Not, bad, BAD, but still bad. It would be great if it were in the $100 price range, but the paint job, clothing, even the plasticky accessories look very meh. I do have Drake, and honnestly? drake was better...

I still don't have mine...hasn't shipped. Grr.

From photos though, it looks to me like the issue is that lax, blank, expression. No squint to the eye, no tension in the face, it just doesn't translate well to Snake.

Overall, I think this is a lot better than expected from the initial hyperbole, at least for this price. Once they start charging $200 plus for human likenesses, they better be worth that kind of cash.

Still a pass for me, unless it hits some kind of firesale level of discount. Can't believe I'm having to type that, EFNY is one of my favourite movies of all time

I like this photo here best, it looks as if he has an expression, that trademark sneer which is lacking on the strait on shots, I like the look of the figure but just keep thinking of how much better the head sculpt would have been if hot toys made it(I hate saying stuff like that but were all thinking it) Still...... I think once posed and futzed on the shelf this will still be a nice figure represention of snake, still looking forward to mine.

@Skull like I said, I don't hate it that I want a full refund. But I will be weary of Sideshow productions. I was tempted for Indy. but I think I will stay with Hot Toys from now on.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to be a total trainwreck or unsalvageable... but at the same time the quality is still not up to HT (not even if you factor him costing $30 less, the quality still isn't matching that price point) and a number of odd QC issues like blips on the accessories, pants that don't fit well and wonky boots.

The X-Wing Luke is the only OT figure with an exclusive I haven't pre-ordered day one, simply because I cannot fathom how Sideshow could ever deliver a figure worth more than the going rate for HT figure.

Not terrible, but not great either.

With some natural shadows he looks good... these kind of heads because they are semi-translucent don't photograph as well as they cool. If Sideshow used a bit more paint on the surface it would help quite a bit, but as it is they seem to absorb a lot of light.

for me I'm just happy to get a 1/6 snake in my house next week...if i need to touch him up I will...and certain angles and lighting can make him look real good I bet

Have you guys and gals been reading the SS Superman thread? Ugh, that figure seems to be a train-wreck as well. I am passing on the X-wing Luke and I will likely cancel the TOD Indy closer to release--if SS can't deliver the goods on the Hoth figures--that will surely preface what is to come with following releases.

I am keeping Snake and will try to mod the crap out of this.

I'm keeping my PO and likely pay it before the schedule. I like it from some angles look like Kurt and on some don't every figure has that problem, look at star Lord awesome figure but the head has something that makes it look like a cartoon Chris's Pratt. And I surely know it looks better than the Spencer head, I only wish that they made the pants like Spencer's pants.
