Tyrion looks great - he's sitting 2 feet away from me right now. Pets from Walking Dead awesome. All the ThreeA figures look great - lots of in-hand photos and video around. Their robots and others also look fantastic as seen in photos and videos.

IMO, they have a solid manufacturing record, they just don't have much in the way of human likenesses available yet.

Also check the threezero dead space 3 thread. There's pictures of the exclusive headsculpt in there as well for your own judgement.

Typically most if not all threeA and threezero products closely match their prototype or exceed their prototype. All the figures I bought from both companies turned out better than the prototype. That's my own opinion. Do your own research and make your own call.

Thanks for the answers, guys.

Perspective. I own a few Hot Toys products... DX05, DX07, DX12, Armory with Bruce & Alfred, Selina Kyle, Tumbler, Reeve Superman. None of them is "better" than ThreeZero's Tyrion. As good maybe.

I agree that Tyrion's sculpt is one of the best I own and almost all my other 1/6 figs are Hot Toys. In my collection (which is mostly Avengers), Tyrion is only really behind Avengers Loki and maybe Blitzway Scarface (since I don't own DX08 anymore). I'm really excited with what threezero is doing and hope they keep cranking out affordable properties.

But man if this comes out before anymore Walking Dead stuff, those fans are going to be piiiiiissed lol.

I'm sure it will be out before any other TWD figures lol. At least it is something else I want to collect this time :)

I’d be 100% fine with that, if and only if, when my TWD sets finally arrive, they are so fkn glorious that a blinding heavenly glow emanates when I unbox them and angels strumming harps and blowing trumpets circle the event

Large-ish? That's fkin huge-ish

And yes, collecting is subjective :lecture

True - My point is I've only been collecting a year, so most you guys are full on experts compared to me. All I can say is, from my humble point of view and going on the fact that just over half my collection are Hot Toys and the rest are mixed of other makes, I can see a nice broad range in quality and prices. Constructive criticism is fine as long as there's perspective. $150 sounds a good deal any day of the week.

Well, congrats on what sounds like a sweet *** collection! I'm sure that even a that short time you learned a lot from all of that hands on experience

I think we can do this, just not the angels.

We can?!?! How?!?!

Cheers! Started out by spotting an HT joker figure and the rest is history. I've seen figures that some people think are amazing and I don't see it myself and others vice-versa. So, I guess it's the same with this one! :) It will sit nicely in my collection and make me happy. That's why we collect, no?

Yes. :) :duff

How in the holy hell are people giving the sculpt this much flak? The comparison pics show even more how damn close they are.

Do this comparison to 99% of other figs out there and you will find way more inaccuracies.

It's a great sculpt and a steal at this price (shipping included!?!!). It's not a figure I'll be buying but holy jeez threezero are definitely on my radar now.

I wish they could get the 1966 Batman license from HT and actually continue that line!

I'm not really giving it flak, it's a great sculpt - but it's already been done better by customizers. I think that's why some may be unhappy with it.

That's exactly it. And Their issue is less with the sculpt and more the rest of the figure though... They can do better Ive seen it from them. The tailoring especially on the pants looks really bad, the shirt looks like it's from ebay kit bashes from 8 years ago

It's the same unacceptable stuff like tyrions wooden hands, these things matter and are correctable. They need to hear the feedback now so they can improve, they are not a great company yet but I think they have it in them. I'm rooting for them.

The wooden hands are a problem with threezero, but being so used to robots I think they put all their thought into doing head sculpts. I also don't think the people who buy $500 customs are really the market share threezero is after. In facts it's the opposite. Their demographic are people who don't want to buy those customs.
