I cannot wait to PO this bad boy!! I really hope that SS gives him 4 sabers, but I read on here earlier that he was only coming with 2 and a couple of unignited hilts....guess I'ma have to hit the bay for some sabers....:dunno

Yeah I heard the swappable arms too...so that is great! I just want him to wield 4 sabers at one time....SO BA

Thought Silent Surfer said he had 4 lit blades, and swappable arms?

I didn't say anything about lit sabers. I don't think I said anything about sabers at all, but he will have the split arm option, and he will most likely have multiple sabers. I kinda doubt they will light though.

Yeah something like that would put him at the $400 price point and then we would all b^%tch about it being crazy how much he cost and buy two...

According to Brant's interview with CTR, sounds like Sideshow is exploring light up sabers for the 1/6 similar to what UU Luke came with.

Must be mis-remembering then. Could have sworn you said he was going to come with a quartet. Oh well. and not Lit, as in light-up, but Lit, as in ignighted, turned on, have blades, etc.

Sideshow can keep light-up effects Out of my 1/6th lightsabers.
Don't need and don't want.

Why dont people want light up sabers?
Grevious would look badass with four light up sabers

Few reasons.
1) it never looks good in lightsaber form if it's led driven.
2) it necessitates making the hilts a little oversized to accommodate the batteries.
3) I never use light up features in my figures more than once. Get figure, open it, turn it on once, smile, then never turn it on again. It's a wasted feature.
4) it may make any figures without them look a little odd with the thinner, more accurate sabers and blades.
5) it drives up the cost unnessacarily.

For those of you that want them, great, good for you. If sideshow insists on adding this, all I ask is they at the very least continue to make and add in ones that don't light up.
Hell, even hot toys is staying away from light up sabers, due to their inability to make them not look cheap.

you missed one...

6) lit sabers give the figure a more "toy like" appearance ala something one would find at the local mall.

I don't want light up glow sticks in my collection.

Hmmmm... Fair enough.

What if it came with 4 light up sabers and 4 normal sabers. Then everyone would win. Only problem would be the cost...

Seriously? This is why GG is being held back? Because somebody wants to sell some kiddy feature.
