Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

Man, there used to be no armored figures at all and people moaned and groaned about not seeing anything else. They're making up for all that lost time and doing right by those that waited. They will get back around to doing more and more figures that aren't armored so just be patient.

YOu have to admit, it has been alot of the same. Armoured figs sure, but where are the Fetts, Snow trooper, Endor trooper etc.

If they had more variety with all these clones Id be indifferent.

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

It's probably easier (and cheaper) to make several runs of the same type of figure at the same time. The jedi were nearly identical. The clones are even closer. They made the Tantive IV rebels at the same time, the gamorreans at the same time, stormtroopers and sandtroopers, etc.

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

You can see how the collection has grown over just 2 years. These toys are just too addictive. :panic:

Sorry for the poor image quality..took some quick ones with the Iphone last evening.

Love that room, especially the Yoda hut and Vanderstelt SW print!
Seriously, where are you going to put any additions?!?! :lol

Oh, and how do you open those sliding doors with the prints hanging there? :panic:

Thanks gibby :)

The prints are hung on those 3M hangers where you can slide the hook part off...there's enough clearance to slide the doors open. As for additions we have a finished basement..I guess that's the next step. I hate to put stuff down there in case of flooding. Trying to be more selective with my purchases but SS has been offering way too much goodness. :)

Man, that's a really neat and tidy room, like the way your collections are displayed:clap

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

nice set up VASith....:clap

did you happen to order the dewback & sandtrooper?......and if you did where in the world would it go??...........:panic:

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

Thank you Sideshow! Turn out to be better than expected.

At least 4 for me now.:)

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

I wanted to but don't have the space. :(

wish i had that will power. i generally justify buying more stuff i dont have space for with the rationale of i will make room later or i will just rotate pieces around every so often.

but back on topic.............battle droids=awesome.

Good idea with the 3M hangers. Marking that one down for future reference.

If it's finished, I would put some stuff in the basement...or just put the ones that you could find ebay replacements for. :dunno
My collection is in the basement, more so because I finished it myself and made sure to seal the puppy up.

I think if the price had been lower on the dewback I would have gotten one and worried about space later...but not at that price. Before I spend almost 300 bucks I want to make sure it'll fit.

"that's what she said..."

Yeah, the clones all have a similar design but I'm not gonna complain one bit about them. As someone who likes the clones its nice to be getting a lengthy look at something I like the same way I felt when we got so many Jedi figures. Those other figures are coming for sure and like I said we'll swing back the other way.

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

Just looking at these sweet pics again of the Battledroids. I'm wondering... will we be able to store the blaster on the backpack somehow, like in the film?

I was wondering this as well. I hope so.

Hey! Silent Surfer! Can they? If not...how about putting a bug in Sideshow's ear.:)

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

Don't worry, I'm sure George will find a way to insert BD's into the OT too. :lol

"And I want them alive, no disintegrations."

"Roger roger."

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

Battle Droids turned out awesome and that is a great price. Definitely pick up a least one set. Hopefully some more variations will be following soon.

Re: 1/6th Scale Battle Droid

I wouldn't think OOM-9 will be released in a pair.

Wouldn't mind Sideshow maintain the price while offering extra accessories. Not the tank but maybe an enviroment base? :)
