I did paint one other version, yet to be revealed, with even more insane detail.

I'll be curious to see that myself. I was surprised by the two-pack here.

There may be a Battle Droid related surprise for SDCC still to come.

Hrmmmm exciting! I wonder if it's a variation, like OOM-9 or something, maybe even a STAP if we're reeeally lucky.

Yeah OOM-9 is the droid commander with yellow paint the binoculars from TMP. He has a few scenes in the movie talking directly to Nute Gunray. Probably the only individual battle droid in the prequels that has a role throughout the film.

No, I'm serious. I would get him. Character, not random background. Also, if they ever do a Nute -- which I very much hope they do -- OOM-9 would go along nicely with him.

Plus I'm being very selective about my droids and clones... so the yellow OOM-9 would go well with bluish SuperBattle Droid and up against orange Cody and green Gree. Seriously.

Yeah I feel the same way. I hope they do Nute and Rune too, OOM-9 would be great with them as he was like Nute's little henchman during TPM.

No they should have done that with the bloody Stormtroopers! They're literally allowing us to order FIFTY-TWO battle droids direct from their site. Imagine how much cheaper the Stormies (and clones) would have been if they produced enough numbers to let us do that with them.

The set is really just too cool to pass on... and now that the exclusive is already sold out glad I didn't wait.

Looking at these more it looks like the shoulders have good movement outward as well as up and down. And it one shot it looks like hips might even have a slight movement outward as well.

But overall it looks like Sideshow nailed these... and to hear from Nathan that these are the production pieces is even more impressive

Yeah... if these turned out this nice IG-88 and Grievous (which are cooler designs) should be all kinds of badass.

With this in mind I listed my custom IG-88 on eBay this week... not need for a repainted Hasbro figure when Sideshow will be knocking it out of the park

Once again the offerings are boring as hell, clone after clone and now lame ass BD's??

Ill give them that the driods, chiewie and Grievous are tough to do, but there is a list of endless characters that can still be done and should have been done by now. But yet, clone, sandtrooper variant 3, fancy stormtrooper, clone, clone, Gammy part2, Clone, clone, Sandtrooper variant 4, toss in random environment
